I've always used Brinks and have had very good results with them. They are not outrageously expensive either.

My company has just added home security to our growing list of services. I'd love to share it with you if you're interested. We're a wholesale shopping club so members get a HUGE price break on the installment and the monthly costs and the services are much higher quality and more modern technology than competitors.
Email me at ____@____.com for info.

I'm a DIYer and have an article about adding inexpensive door and window alarms, motion detector lighting, and more.

I also know of an article about working with a home security service, like how to cut down on false alarms and how to tell if the service being offered is reasonable (not trying to sell you something you don't really use or need).

If you are not a DIY person, I would get a quote from ADT because my insurance has a small discount with ADT (this is not connected to a property insurance discount for having a security alarm system).

Something you probably already know is to get at quotes from two or three businesses and don't hesitate to ask for references. They may not have a reference who lives in the area, but asking doesn't hurt.

Good luck!

I highly recommend Progressive Protection in Belton. They service all of Central Texas. Eddie Notgrass is the owner. You can reach them by calling ###-###-####. www.pprotection. com They have put two different security systems in for me. They pride themselves on top notch customer service. If you e-mail me privately I can give you Eddie's cell number. Good luck with your search.

We have a DSC - it's an online system you can purchase. This system gives you the option of having it monitored by an outside source or it can be set up to allow you to monitor it remotely.

We use Pinnacle which uses General Electric equipment and have no complaints. I'm so glad we have something.

My daughter uses ADT in the Houston area, but I know that is well known, and used. I have First Alarm in the Midland/Odessa area. In Wichita Falls, there is a company called Communication Services. They are a multi-media company, including wiring and monitoring your home for security. Hope that helps :)

We use ADT. But I know there are many out there. I would for sure go with a reputable company, Brinks has been around a long they recently changed their name & I cant remember what it is, I saw it on TV.
Be sure to register your alarm system with the city though :)
