I am the mom of a 3 1/2 year's old boy - I need help/advise. he just started stuttering and it is getting worse by the minute.

I am also interested in learning how to deal with my 2 1/2 year old grandson who is experiencing the same stutering problem. Please forward any advice that you think may work.
I am very touched with your story. I want to help you but I am far (commercial) and I dont have a car, I can find a way with the car isse I think but I also go to school on tues and thurs, morning only. If you are interested I can visit you and help you out on the weekends, and do all your chores cuz my husband will be home to watch my 2 year old son (very good boy) and i can use his car too. hope you feel better. ...I don't think you are getting the response you are actually expecting, but I truly hope people actually read your "REQUEST" for assistance. I will be willing to provide you with some help and assistance with your house chores, however, I am a full time worker and mother. I have only a few free hrs. a week... specially saturdays... if that time helps, let me know....

I am a speech therapist. I would advise you to get your son into therapy. In the meantime, don't call attention to the stuttering. Speak slowly and clearly to him. Get down on his level to speak to him. Don't ask him to stop and start again or to slow down. This will only make it worse. Good luck and my prayers are with you.
