Just looking at his jean size, I would get him a adult medium, a youth medium would be way to small for him.
I'm buying clothes for a needy boy whom I have never met (through our church's holiday donation program). All I know is that he is 13 yrs. old and wears a 32x30 pant size.
I am also getting him a shirt and his size was listed as Medium. Since his pant size seems pretty large for a 13 yr. old (or maybe not?) I should buy a MEN's Medium, right? I have 2 girls so I have NO clue. Thanks.
OK, Getting a MEN'S MEDIUM, thanks Mama's.

Just wanted to say, THANK YOU FOR GIVING! We would be a better world if there were more people like you.
Happy holidays,

Hi L.,
It is great that you are being generous and donating to a family. As the mother of a 13 year old boy, I can tell you that the last thing my son would want is clothing. Also, at that age kids are VERY particular about their unique style. My suggestion is to give him a gift certificate to Target or Academy (or to his parent) and then they can go and let him pick out what he likes.
Good Luck!

My son wears a size 32/30 in pants. If child you are buying for is a 13 year old, he sounds pretty tall for his age. I would get a man's medium which may be a tad bit too large but kids that age are wearing their clothes a little looser. My son used to give me fits buying ex-larges but now that he is older, he wears a small or medium depending on the style. I would go for a man's medium to be on the safe side and stick a gift receipt in the gift if he would like to exchange it. Most stores offer gift receipts during the holidays.
I would buy an adult Medium or large. I have a 13 year old son and his pant size is the same as the boy you are buyin for and my son wears an adult large shirt. Also wanted to tell you that you are doing a wonderful thing for that little boy and you will make him feel special and loved on Christmas for doing this. God Bless you
It would be a men's medium. I would also look at the shirt because some mediums run small. Just see what size pants your hubby wears and what shirt size he wears and that should help you out. Good luck.
How wonderful you are!
You will be shopping for an adult medium, in the Men's department.
My slender 12yo girl can already wear XS and small from the Women's department.
My son is 14 & wears 33x30 pants. He wears adult large some adult medium shirts
Buy a mens Med or Large. Kids like ting huge these days.
Hi L.,
First, I wanted to commend you for doing something so thoughtful and selfless during this tough economic time. Second, I wanted to suggest that whatever you buy, get a gift receipt to go with it. If you're buying from a chain, he will be able to exchange it for something else at his local store with no problems if the size is wrong or it just doesn't suit his style. I always provide a gift receipt b/c you never know if it is going to be a duplicate of something they already have. I'm no help on sizing (I have 3 girls!), but from what you wrote, I'd agree with the other posters and say go for the men's medium. Happy Holidays!
I have 4 sons and my 12 year old is in 32x30 pants and the shirt size would be a mens medium.
I am sure it means a mens medium. My 14 yo son wears about that same size pants and most of his shirts are a mens lrg. A lot of stores have a young mens dept which is where I usually shop for my boys. Thank you for having a giving heart. Merry Christmas.
He would definitely be a man's size medium. My 16 year old son is about the same size.
Buy a man's medium...
First, thank you for donating!
If he's wearing a 32X30 buy a Men's Medium.
Happy Holidays!

Adult medium - I have a boy that's the same size.
A Boys Medium is about a size 8-9 years. I would buy him a Men's Medium. His pants seem large for a 13 YO.
You should get the men's medium.Even though he is 13 yrs. old he is already in men sizes. Then you have to remember that the clothes will be washed and could possibly shrink some.My son is 14 wearing 36x40 and a 14 shoe.Kids today are not our typical size kids 10 yrs ago.Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.M./Houston
My husband wears 32x30 pants....go with the men's medium, just to be safe.
Without a doubt, men's medium
Buy a mans medium, the pant size is a mans size, a 13 year old boy would never wear a boy's medium. Mans medium is what you want.
Hi,
Definitely a man's medium. I have a 15 year old (turned 15 in August) who weighs 175 punds and is 5'11''. He wears a 34 x 32 pant size. Hope this hleps.
Hi, L.! I would go with a man's medium. The boys these days wear their clothes a lot looser than they did when my kids were small, so it's best to err on the side of too large!
Merry Christmas!!

Definitely go with a men's medium on the shirt. However, if you buy long sleeve shirts, try a youth XL instead - that way sleeve length isn't an issue.
My son wears a 32x32 pant and a Man's medium shirt, so I'd think your 13-year-old would be the same. Happy shopping!
My boy wears 30x30 pants, although they are loose on him, and likes a men's medium shirt.
Hi L.,
My 13 year old nephew is the exact same size as this young man you are buying for so I would suggest getting a men's medium. Blessings!!!
You should by a man's medium. My son wears the same size jeans. They sound big but believe me they aren't. Goodluck!
I just went through this with my nephew. It would be a mens medium.
Best of the Christmas celebration to you & yours.
