Call the 24/7 nurse advice line through the hospital. They'll triage over the phone and either have you come into the ER now, make an appointment for Monday, or treat at home looking out for x, y, z.

After a CT scan and x-ray you can be assured that she's fine after the fall. I would guess that something else is going on. Perhaps the heat. Or she could be reacting to your concern.
for your peace of mind follow up with her pediatrician. This is not an emergency and not appropriate for the ER.
Calling the advice nurse is a good idea too.
She is not acting the same because you are bugging her because you are worried. How would you feel if someone hovered over you looking for signs something is wrong?
It would have to be pretty unusual for a small fall like that to cause any damage to the baby. What is your bed, two feet from the ground probably with carpet under it and a pad?
Please for the sake of your daughter's peace relax, she is fine.
Babies grow and change so much in the first year. It might be injury, or it might be teething, digestive upset, growing pains, developmental changes or who knows what! Schedule a visit with her pediatrician to give yourself peace of mind.
Have you called her regular doc, about this? Babies are " built " to take falls. Like Jo said, it would be rare , a fall from bed would result in injury. Her behavior could be unrelated to the fall . With all that being said, always trust your gut. If you think there's something wrong, most likely there is but again, could be unrelated to the fall. All the behavior you mention are all behaviors associated with an ear infection, also. So, you never know. Call her regular doc & get her checked out , for your peace of mind.
I would want to relay this information to a doctor just to reassure myself. I suggest what Riley suggested.
please calm cown and think , how did she fell, on what position..... is there anything down that may hurt when she fell..... and one more thng, babies are more intelligent they take very cute precautions, like, my son used to be very active, he fell down the bed as soon as i drowsed and fell, he used to be just 6 months old at that time, as i am from india i was in india when he was born. he fell on him hands in front , or when he fell back he used to lift his head and turn side ways... he is extremely fine now and even more active which i cudnot handle. but baby girls are even more intelligent so dont think about anything danger..... just calm down and think. but kids when they face danger they get scared of everything and almost same symptoms as u said.. so take her to doctor and check everything to make sure nothing is wrong, like what about the spine or near neck , if she fell back. check the ribs as some kids have last ribs little bigger, if she fell side ways... check nose or forehead or chin or knees or toes..... if she fell on her stomach.......... i think mostly she got shocked.... relax her..... give her anything she likes like sweet things, and make her calm and tell her she is safe now, and u r not going anywhere.... and so on.... but first of all go to big hospital which specializes in only kids, as they are specialists about babies psychology and health......
Try to relax because babies do pick up on our feelings and maybe she is doing that. I've had kids fall down steps, out windows, off beds, and my brother fell out of a moving car, and all were fine. None were 8 months old but they all were fine. I don't push being careless but accidents just happen sometimes. If you are still worried take her to the doctor with a list of changes in her behavior and talk with the doctor so you are sure she's okay and to put your mind at ease. Entertain her and see if that wakes her up a bit more, play with her, etc. Take her out for some change of scenery and see if that perks her up too. My guess is she's fine.
DO NOT TAKE HER TO THE ER.
This could be many different things... a slight bug she picked up at the hospital, teething, going thru a growth spurt. Document her behavior and sleep paterns and then give your doctor (not the ER) a call.
First take a deep breathe and let it out slowly. She's fine. The hospital did the tests and everything came back fine. She could easily be feeding off your emotions right now. I know how you feel. My son fell off my bed when he was stretching and I thought I had him on far enough to get his blanket. He did act a little funny but he was crying and screaming and moving just fine. I even called the ER and the nurse told me he's fine and make an appointment with my regular doctor if I wanted to make sure. She could be teething like another mom said, having growing pains or something else. Make an appointment with her doctor so that way you can have some peace of mind. But really just relax. Once when you do she'll relax and go back being herself. Just remember to breathe.
I would call the pediatrician first thing tomorrow and have them do another X-ray. That way if there was some damage that was to soon to show, well, they might be able to see it now.
I don't think I would do another ER trip unless she started acting totally different towards not being able to be woken up, or vomiting, something like that.
But I would want to make sure the pediatrician got another set of X-rays or ct scan. Something to make sure she didn't have damage deep inside.
