Hi Mommas...
You guys have been such a huge help in the past, so I am coming to you again. I need some good EASY meal ideas for my twin toddlers. With two, I don't want to spend a lot of cooking in the kitchen, so super quick and easy stuff. They are 19 mos. old and usually have a good appetite, except they don't like juice or cut up fruit (they like baby food fruit just fine, but won't eat the chunks). We have been giving them what we eat most of the time for dinner, so that helps when they will eat it. We have been giving them the Gerber Graduates meals, chicken sticks, and diced carrots, but I am wanting to come up with some other ideas that will be just as easy but less expensive since they are starting to eat more. I bought a couple of cookbooks for baby & toddler food, but most of those recipes take so long to fix and require some unusual ingredients. So, they're not much help. Any ideas on websites or suggestions that have worked with your toddlers? Thanks so much in advance!

What can I do next?

Thanks so much for all of the ideas! You gave me quite a bit to work with. I'm looking forward to trying out some new foods with the boys. Thanks again!

My daughter eats:

mini pepperonis
beef hot dogs cut in quarters
beef meatballs - frozen at Target
cooked or dry mickey pasta
Mac and cheese
cheese sticks - only the lucerne brand
toaster sticks
whole grain wheat thins
carrots cut julienne style
corn
celery
dehydrated apple pieces
bananas fresh or frozen
all fruit popsicles
rice with cashews

I just make sure she has a meat, bread, veg/fruit, and dairy at every meal. She snacks all day.

at 19 months they don't need "special" foods... I would feed them what you eat.

I have a 16 month old son who goes to in home daycare 4 days/week. I like to send food with him and this is what I do:

Chicken- cook and cut up a package of chicken into bite sized pieces. Portion it into snack sized bags stored in larger freezer bags. The pieces are defrosted by lunch if put in the fridge, or easily microwaved until warm. This is a lot of meals.
Beans and Rice- my son LOVES black beans and rice, but beans come in a 16 oz. can. I portion cooked brown rice and black beans out of the can into snack sized bags and store them in the larger freezer bag in the freezer. I microwave and sprinkle cheese on top to serve.
Our favorite fast meal is a cheddar cheese stick with lima beans and sun chips.
Good luck!

Well, my daughter is almost 11 months and doesn't like baby food anymore...she loves pieces of strawberries, bananas, and rasberries...loves the peas and carrots from a steamer bag...she ate pieces of meatloaf today...pieces of chicken work well...even using the chicken from a can (we get them at Sam's and they are super easy for fast meals)...beans from a can heated up - loved the black beans we had this weekend with tacos...she loves grated cheese as well...and of course, cherios - we went with honey Nut since we already have them in the house for my 14 year old :-)

I like to take crescent rolls, and stuff them with whatever I have on hand. I usually combine cheese and shredded chicken, but you can put whatever you want in there. Both my kids (2 and 5) like these. It is easy to sneak some veggies in there for the picky eater (like my 2 year old).
