My doctor is Earnestine Bustamente-Roman. She is in Chandler on Chandler Blvd west of Alma School. I realy like her.
I am hoping that y'all can recommend a good OBGYN. I just found out I am pregnant and need a new OB. I didn't like the doctor I had for my son and was so grateful he missed the delivery (sad, I know). Then the doctor I went to yesterday just didn't impress me at all. The receptionists were snotty and the physicians assistant seemed to be "not all there." Is it really this hard to find a decent physician?
I would prefer someone in Queen Creek or Gilbert (although I would be willing to travel a distance for someone good), a female, and someone who actually cares. Is it too much to ask for them to be excited/care I am pregnant? I'm excited.... can't they at least pretend? :) I am already labeled "high risk" due to miscarriage so I need someone with a brain. Ug.. you can probably tell I am so frustrated. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!

Ashley,
I went to Dr. Joseph Lindstrom ###-###-#### on Gilbert and Baseline(right off the 60) for all my pregnancies, which included a miscarriage. He was very personable and excited for me each time, and I have had previous experiences with a Dr. who seemed disinterested in me altogether. The NP's are great as well, and were always willing to answer my questions or be available when I was worried about something different going on with my pregnancy. They have labs and ultrasound in the same office which makes visits easier with everything you need at the same place.
You may want to check out licensed midwife Sue DiSilvestro in Gilbert. She's great! ###-###-#### http://newlifemidwifery.org/
Dr. Brass is amazing. She's located at Baseline and Arizona Ave. You can check out my review (and others) on this site and her website is http://www.trueharmonywellness.com/
If she is accepting new patients, I would highly recommend Dr. Candace Lew at Contemporary Care for Women. She delivered my daughter, now 4, and my 18 month old twins. I was also high-risk because of advanced maternal age. She's the best! If she's unavailable, I've heard that all the other doctors in their practice are great, too. Good luck!
I use Dr Jarem. She is with Dr. Goodman and Partridge OBGYN. Her office is on Lindsay and Williams Field. She has been, by far, my favorite OBGYN. She delivered my baby and when she wanted something done she did it. She is a little german lady who listend to what you have to say, gives advice and takes charge in getting you better. I love her! ####-###-####. Roxanne, a PA at the office is my favorite PA also. So if I don't get to see my doc, then I know that there is someone else I can turn to.
She delivers at Gilbert Mercy and Chandler Hospital
Good Luck!!
Try Dr. Elizabeth Jarem or Dr. DeMets. Both are at Goodman and Partrige, on Williams Field road, near Lindsay - and I love 'em both. I think you would have a fantastic experience! I just had my 3rd baby in April.
Hi- I was at Goodman Partridge as well. The problem is that they have so many doctors and it will depend who is on call who will deliver you baby...so be careful. I agree Dr. Jarem is great, but with their rotating on-call schedule there is no guarantee she would be the one delivering you baby. After I miscarried last year,(I was not impressed with the service/support that I got from Goodman/Partridge at all), I switched to Valley Women for Women. I have really liked all the Doctors there. They are all women and the PA Lori Driggs is wonderful. I am due to deliver my first August 14th and I am not worried about who is going to be on call because they all seem to have the same attitude towards having a happy, healthy baby and mom during and after delivery.
I see an amazing OBGYN. I am 6 1/2 months pregnant with my second and I too started off with an awful OB and switched about 2 months ago. His name is Dr. Hazelrigg and his office is in Gilbert...off of Gilbert and Guadalupe. I immedietely liked him, he takes his time with you and answers all your questions. The staff is very nice also. I know how you feel, the doctor I went to before was so impersonal, and that's what I really like about this Dr......he is so caring. The practice is called Comprehensive Women's Health Care.....I believe they have about 4 doctors in the practice. Hope this helps!
you should definately go to oasis obgyn, dr.bullaro. she is the best! all of the staff are women and they are all so friendly and helpful. they are located in mesa off of brown and power, a bit of a drive, but worth it. dr bullaro is so excited for everyone and you will feel so safe with her. here is the website, http://www.oasisob.com. you will LOVE them!
good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!!
Ashley,
I had the same problem with one of my OBs. I was so glad that he wasn't there to deliver my daughter and ended up with Dr. Lew that someone else mentioned. I tried repeatedly to get into her, but she was never accepting new patients. I now go to Dr. Kells and I LOVE him. He takes the time to listen and he never rushes me. He is always upbeat and glad to see me and he is very informative. Also, his staff is great and so is his nurse midwife. He is in Chandler near the hospital. That would be nice for you because it's right off the 202. He delivers at Chandler Regional or Mercy Gilbert (Though I would choose Chandler over Mercy because I had a bad experience at Mercy). His web address is http://www.drkells.com/. I highly recommend him and his team.
Dr. Burt Webb he is in Scottsdale, but he has delivered all of my children. I too had very high risk pregencies. I would never dream of going to anyone else.
I used Dr. Kramer she is wonderful!! I too was considered high risk. I was 41 when I had my little girl. She has 2 offices, one on Greenfield and Baseline and the other is at the new hospital Mountain Vista on Crismon and the 60. Think about what hospital you want to deliver at also. I know she delivers at Moutain Vista and I don't know which other one. If you can't get in with her, she has a mid-wife working with her named Marla Roberts. She is awesome. I actually saw her more than Dr. Kramer.
Dr. Kramer delivered my baby c-section and I have had no complications, very easy recovery. It has been almost 11 weeks now.
Her number at Mountain Vista is ###-###-####. They can give you the other number if that office works better for you. Also, I had better luck seeing them at MV. They were more on time there.
Hope she will work for you. They are wonderful!!
Hi Ashley,
I sadly just miscarried what would have been my third child. I am seeing a wonderful OB at Valley Women for Women. They are in Gilbert and getting ready to open a second office. The entire staff was wonderful during the early stage as well as the heartache of losing the little one just 2 weeks ago. The doctor I saw was Van Ekin ( Sp) she was AMAZING. I too am very picky about the staff at doctors offices and they have all been great. The number is ###-###-####. All the docs are female and deliver at Mercy Gilbert or Chandler. I hope this info helps.

Without reservation, I recommend Contemporary Care for Women on Guadalupe and Greenfield Rd in Gilbert. Check out their website, www.careforwomen.net. There are female practitioners in the practice, but I've had a wonderful experience under the care of 2 male OB/GYN's, Dr. Tamanaha and Dr. Lepetich. Just because an OB/GYN is female doesn't mean she's more caring or competent (I used to supervise and teach OB residents). Best wishes and Congratulations! R.
Hi Ashley,
I go to Contemporary Care for Women in their Gilbert office on Greenfield and Guadalupe. I see Dr. Tamanaha and love him and I like his nurse too. Anytime I call with a ? they always call me right back and the staff their are great too. They have several Dr's at their Tempe office and Gilbert office and I have heard all of them are great. Good luck!
Hi Ashley,
I found my OB through a friend who had delivered twins and this was her 4th doctor. She loved the practice and ALL the doctors that are a part of it. The practice is named Valley Women for Women. Great thing is, they just opened their second office next store to Mercy Gilbert Medical to accomodate more patients. I miscarried 2x and had a very difficult pregancy with my little girl. Dr. VanEken was the doctor who delivered my little girl. I had a Csection and was totally freaked out because of all the complication I'd been having surrounding her delivery. She (along with the other women who are in her practice) were Awesome. Always called me back when I called the Triage nurse for advice or to mention concerns. I've since recommended the practice to a couple different friends and they've all changed doctors mid preganancy and been very happy with the decision. Nice thing was they worked with me by fitting appointments in before work or even the last of the day. I occasionally even scheduled them on lunch breaks and they were able to accomodate me...This helped out with my demanding job. Please feel free to email back if you have any specific concerns or questions....Congratulation on your preganancy. I'm jealous and can't wait for my next one.
