I don't know of anyone who does this out of a home. I use #1 Alterations located at Independence and Legacy SW corner behind Boston Chicken (old Albertson's store).
She is VERY reasonable, quality work and good turn around time.

I don't know about an "in-home" place but my husband swears by the tailor that's in the shopping center at the southwest corner of McDermott and Central Expressway. Right down from Subway and next to a cleaners. He's had several things done including having a suit let out and he loves that place. And he's cheap, so he wouldn't go there if they were expensive. He says the lady is really nice too.
There is an alteration place, I can't remember the name, it's over there by Big Lots, its very reasonable and they do a good job.
i dont know any in-home tailors....but I have been going to "C3 Alterations" (or C2) for 7 years. They are in the Big Lots shopping center. their english is rough...but they have never done anything wrong for us.
I use a place next to Albertsons at Custer and McDermott called A Tailor. It's about $8.00 to hem pants or jeans without a cuff.
