I don't know if you are interested in taking an exercise class. Stroller Strides is really great--you can take the kids with you. It's a great workout, and it is fun. You can read more about it on their website.
Hi ladies,
I am 9 mo postpartum and I CANNOT get rid of my belly! I know I'm not alone in this! I was so blessed to not gain too much weight in my two pregnancies, and after my second one, everything else went back down to somewhat normal size. Except my belly. I seriously look like I am 3 mos pregnant. Out in public I have even been asked "oh so when are you due?"
You all are always so helpful, so i figured you might have some suggestions on maybe excersices that target this area of the body.
Thanks!!

I don't know a whole lot about this subject, but could your stomach muscles possibly be split? Google it--because if they are, all the exercise in the world will just make it worse until you join them back together. It was the first thing I thought of, good luck :D

Hi J.,
How are you? Have you heard of the body magic? It's a weightloss garment that will drop you 2-3 sizes in 10 minutes and help you loss weight. Don't believe me? See it for yourself on my website. www.dropupto3sizesin10mins.com
It's been featured on NBC, ABC, fox2, and numerous other talkshows and news broadcasts. Check out this link www.youtube.com/ardysslasvegas
Let me know what you think,

i would try cardio 3times a week (to help melt off any excess fat that has developed in the area), and I would do pilates twice a week. (you can mix it up once in a while with a good yoga routine as well). You want a work out routine that will get rid of excess fat (the cardio) and tone the core (pilates). You DONT want to JUST to sit ups! This is VERY bad for your back. You back muscles need to be balanced w/ your ab muscles or you can cause major issues. That is why I like pilates. It works on the entire core, not just abs. It will work abs, low abs, back, chest, sholders, hips, butt, ect. It is really hard at first, but you can do variations to help get you through until you get stronger. I always thought I was pretty strong until I started pilates. I never knew how unblanced and weak my core was.
If you prefer a natural alternative I would suggest 2 things. One is Natural Progesterone Cream. This will help more than this one issue - you will be pleasantly surprised (hubby too). The other suggestion is a diet that helps control your insulin levels. One that is rich in protein and fiber. I am an independent consultant with Arbonne and would be happy to talk more about these alternatives. ###-###-#### or http://givegraciously.myarbonne.com/ Also, working out will help you in many ways... I love Yoga and Pilates. Good luck and you are blessed to have an encouraging hubby!
Many Blessings, S.
I think Pilates is the very best way to flatten a belly. You can do Pilates at a studio, gym, at home with videos, or at home on your own (find specific mat Pilates exercises online). Yoga is also very helpful to firm a belly. Other exercises I like are planks, and you can vary them a lot. I like to use 2 5-pound weights; put them off to the side of your left arm while you're in a plank position. Lift one weight with your left arm, move it directly in front of you and set it down. Then pick it up with your right arm and move it to the side. Do the same with the 2nd weight, and then move both of them back. Repeat as many times as possible--hopefully 4+ times. Hope this helps!
the bested and safetest is Weight watchers. you can to thier web site and check it out. and if you need to go somewhere to excerise try cuves. it is 30 mins and not really pricy. good luck you can do it
The south beach diet. Get the easy cookbook for it and the basic blue book that tells you how it works. It's great. You lose all the weight in your belly first. And it's really just how to eat healthy.
Also, give your body time to adjust. I think I read somewhere it takes 3 years for your body to fully recover from a pregnancy?
Hi
I recommend Pilates for getting rid of any kind of belly. And cardio vascular exercise along with breast feeding is actually an amazing way to lose baby weight. Diet is also a key factor in weight reduction. I'm a wellness facilitator and will be happy to speak to you further.
Part of this is normal. I had the same problem because I had always had a small waist and my skin lacked elesticity so it was slow to return to normal shape but it eventually did. My husband is a personal trainer and says you need to rebuild your abdominal wall which we loose through out pregnancy. You can do this via crunches, leg raises, elbo to knee, and medicine ball work. Your diet is going to make a difference also. Contact me via here if you need anymore help
