Hang in there L.. My first was in NICU his first three days. I now have three children but we've spent the last year dealing with my bout with breast cancer ... so support was essential. We moved out here from NYC and I used everyone that I could from my husband's job, to the folks at the pre school where my two youngest were attending. Can you use the hospital's social services network for support? A church or synagogue? Perhaps laila's plastic surgeon could hook you up with another family/mom that has gone through the procedure? Check out these very slim suggestions. It may just be that you only have to ask(which is hard) and someone will help.

First of all, I am so sorry that you and your daughter are going through such an experience. You both will be in my prayers.

On a practical level, I compiled a free Resource Directory for People with Disabilities that may have a number of support services that would be helpful to you during this time.

I'm sorry to hear about your babygirl. Having your faith in God will be the most ultimate thing you can do for you and for your daughter. She needs you right now. She needs your strength the kind of strength that only our Lord and Savior can bring into our hearts.. our souls.. our minds... A peace that surpasses all and any understanding... Let me pray for you..
Heavenly Father I come before your throne humbly asking for your forgiveness! We are sinners Lord Jesus and yet you continue to love us and keep us under your loving protection. Father God I pray in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS YOUR SON.. that you would LAY HANDS UPON this lil' child that is in need of a succesful surgery Lord. Holy Spirit I pray that you would be in the midst of the O.R. ROOM Lord giving the doctors guidance... for YOU ABBA FATHER ARE OUR ULTIMATE HEALER LORD JESUS.. We may never understand why things happen the way they do sometimes, but that's OK Lord because KNOWING THAT YOU ARE IN FULL CONTROL IS WHAT RESTS UPON OUR SOULS.. One of your many promises Lord is that..Nothing will hurt you. No trouble will come near your tent. For He will tell His angels to care for you and keep you in all your ways.. PSALMS 91:10-11 so we ask you now Lord Jesus to please watch over this young mother and child Lord.. give them strength heal her daughter Lord.. give the mami all the warm loving care you always give your children in time of need.
Lord I pray for a peaceful spirit.. give her peace of mind Jesus.. and may her daughters surgery be a successful and blessed one! IN JESUS MOST PRECIOUS NAME I PRAY AMEN.
