My 14 year old daughter wants to learn to sing. She has joined theater, loves it, and now wants to audition for a musical. She's never sang more than Happy Birthday, or Church songs...... but she's determined. Can anyone recommend someone in Flower Mound, Lewisville, or Grapevine?

What can I do next?

I don't know if you've found anyone yet. I e-mailed a friend of mine who just got her masters in Vocal Music at TWU, her schedule is too full, but she recommended two women.

Here is their contact info:

Amy Rosine: ____@____.com
Vanessa Guzman: ____@____.com

Good luck!

First she can join her choir class at school. Ask the choir teacher who they recommend, I'm sure they will have loads of advice and recommendations for you. Maybe even the choir teacher will work with her.

Hi T.,
I have 2 ideas. First of p of all, we just started going to the Denton music academy, and I know that they teach lessons. It is right off of loop 288, but may not be worth the drive over the bridge for you, I am not sure. I know that they are very professional etc, but if you are looking for something alittle more low key, I have a friend that teaches voice and piano out of her home in Coppell. If you would like, let me know and I could get you her number. Best of luck. I did musicals my entire HS career, and though it is a lot of dedication, it was a lot of fun with a typically great group of people. I hope she gets a part!!
