Try eBay! I shopped ebay when looking for my son's baptismal outfit. There were lots to choose from.
I am having my daughter baptized on August 24 and I am searching for that perfect gown. I looked at Babies R Us and found only cheaply made gowns not to mention I didn’t like any of the styles they had. I have looked at several sites online and can’t find anything that just sticks out and the things that I found I liked were $200 just for the gown. What I am looking for is something that could become an heirloom and classic look with a bonnet and some accessories (ie pacifier clip, big, and even a headband of some sort). Maybe I am crazy and that is the only option but I thought I would ask other moms to see if they had any thoughts as some where in, around, or near Dallas. I live in Mesquite so I am willing to drive just about anywhere to look. Thank you for any thoughts or input you might have on this matter.

You might try Chocolate Soup (southeast corner of Preston and Royal near Borders Books and behind McDonalds). They always have cute clothes and I have seen baptismal gowns. They frequently have sales and you might want to get on their mailing list anyway.
Dillards at Northpark. Has the Strasburg gowns along with other makers. Go to the sale rack and you will find pretty and elegant dresses. I got my daughters there for maybe $50. Had lace and beads and was just beautiful. It's real pretty and definitely not cheap looking. Everyone loved it. Came with a bonnet.
MY advice is to go to Joanns and/or Hancocks & they have a list of semstresses. Call around for prices. You can look thru the pattern books and find the exact style (or close to it) that you want. Or find something that is close to it & any good seamstress should have no problem making the dress exactly how you want it. This way to can also pick out the exact fabrics & triming that you want on it.And it should be less expensive tha buying one. Best of luck to you. ANd congraulations. Your sweet baby is getting baptized on my birthday.
Try Dillards. We got our oldest's gown there--it was a long, smocked, white gown with bloomers, a slip, and a matching bonnet. We got it on sale for about $40, and was even able to use it again in April for our second daughter!
Good luck!
Got mine for $25.00 at Burlington Coat Factory. They were all good prices.
Try Burlington Coat Factory. Sounds odd, but I know I saw tons of baptismal/first communion clothes when I was there last. And they are always reasonable on price. I live in Allen - there is one around Hwy 75 & Parker road. I'm sure there is one closer to you though.
Good Luck.
We got ours at Dillards at the Valley View Mall last year for $55. They had quite a few styles to choose from, all very pretty. Ours is long and came with a hat/bonnet, very cute. Good luck with your search.
I have seen some at Dillards. You might also be able to find someone to make a dress for a reasonable price.
Do you know a seamstress? Maybe you could go to the seamstress with your idea. Check for a seamstress at the local Cloth/Hancock material store.
Hello,
It seems to me most heirloom gowns are around $200. I checked a few of my favorite stores and found one at Nordstrom for $129. It is online, but may be in the store as well. I couldn't find a gown with a pacifier clip though.
Hope this helps!

I got my daughters gown at Chocolate Soup in dallas. The gown was originally 80ish dollars and I got it on sale. I ended up spending only 40 dollars. It was long, white, simple, with a bonnet. I plan on using it with our other children.
good luck!
Try Strasburg Children. http://www.strasburgchildren.com/ There is one at Willowbend and The Galleria. My MIL recently bought ours there for $99.00.
Did you look at Burlington Coat Factory? Sometimes they have really unique and beautiful baby dresses.
Try Strasburg Children at the Galleria. They have some beautiful dresses there and I think they are reasonably priced (less than $200). The other place I would recommend is www.whiteelegance.com. I got my son's blessing outfit there and I just looked and they have some beautiful dresses and shoes for girls too. Good luck!
Call Brandi. She is reasonable and makes wonderful baptism gowns. Her number is ###-###-####. Many times she has used the bride's wedding gown. It really makes it a wonderful heirloom.
Chocolate Soup at Preston/Royal carries gowns, etc. St. Michael's Women's Exchange in Highland Park Village carries some true heirloom gowns. Good luck shopping and congratulations on your baby.
I ordered one from this website:
They let you order up to three, so you can pick different sizes/styles and return the 2 you don't want. You do have to pay shipping for the returns. But we found an outfit for about $60 for our son.
