We had the same problem a couple of years ago with Dr. Monzon, who's at the same practice. I spoke with him about it personally and for us it has greatly improved. A lot of times, the Docs don't know what is going on up front until someone points it out to them. I told him how much we liked him but that the wait time was ridiculous and my husband and my time is very valuable. (If you figure the cost of salary, it was about $100/hr for us to sit there waiting with a child who has ADHD, which meant the appointment was costing me a TON in both $$ and sanity.) Since then, I have not had to wait like that again. Another thing is to call before you leave your office to see if they are running on schedule, if not, ask how far behind they are and adjust accordingly. You can stay at work and get more done. Most office staff appreciate not having a room full of people waiting asking "how much longer?" every 5 minutes. My former OB/Gyn knew I had about a 1/2 hour drive for appointments so if they were running behind, they called to tell me not to rush. That was awesome!!! I wish more would do that.
