There's a great montessouri school on Main and Binz. Right next to the museum's. St. Paul's School. Both my children went there and loved it. They are credentialed and have wonderful teachers. They are affiliated with St. Paul's Church.
Hi Everyone! I have been desperately trying to find a good preschool or montessori school in or near the downtown area (reasonably priced of course), if anyone knows one that is worth a try, please let me know. THANKS!

You might want to try a private school. My daughter's catholic school is $400 per month, plus lunch and extended day if I need it. It's Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It's not downtown, but I like it because it's a small school and most of the students know each other. They have starting at Pre K 3 but your child has to be completely potty trained. I also know that Primrose is very good. Good luck!
My son goes to Montessori Country Day School in the Museum District. Its pricey but the campuses and staff are amazing. My son has really excelled here. We were previously at Montessori School of Downtown and I do NOT recommend them.
Hey there S.~
My two boys attend Wilson Elementary.. it is a public Montessori school in the Montrose area (pretty close to Downtown). You should call to see if there are any openings in your child's age group. They do accept 3 year olds, but it does not become free until they are Kindergarten aged. I have heard it is reasonable though.
A VERY good Montessori school located right down the Street from The Children's Museum is Country Day Montessori.. I think they are pricey, but very highly respected and credentialed.
Good luck!
