My cousin's husband is a financial planner with Edward Jones. He works out of there Farmington office. His name is Jeff Myers.
After having our first child a couple of years ago, my husband and I have struggled with the idea of needing to have a will - as well as get our finances in order (saving for college, retirement, etc.). I read through the reviews posted here for Financial Advisors, but I would really appreciate some personal thoughts on advisors or attorney's other Mom's have used.
Thanks!

My husband and I have a college fund set up for both of our kids which is tax free money, we also just set up a will. We are using a CFP who I grew up with so I trust him immensely, so much as to chose what we should do with our money we honestly just send him the check and he chooses where to put it like toward retirement, college wherever. If you would like his contact please email me at ____@____.com Luck

I have worked with our financial planner for about 10 years now. Her name is Laura Basballe as she is with Focus Financial, an independent firm. Her # is ###-###-#### and her email is ____@____.com'll meet with you at no charge to see if the relationship feels like a fit. She's done very well for us across the board financially. My husband really respects her a great deal, and he's an attorney. We did our 529 plan last year for our 2 year old son. She knowledgeable, personable, responsive and darn good.
As far as an attorney goes, I would recommend a few, but we and several of my clients have used the firm down the hall from my husband's group called the Lindstrom Law Office, at ###-###-####. Both Erik and Monica are excellent and reasonably priced. My husband's firm does not do estate type work but he knows the Lindstroms very well. They did our stuff (will, power of attorney, medical, etc.) this year (yep...we procrastinated) just before we left for Mexico. It was such a relief to have it all done.
Both people know my husband and I so you can even tell them you got their names from us. I know they treat all of their clients very well but it can't hurt I am sure.
You will feel so great getting things set up and moving forward. It was difficult making the time with our schedules and we always thought "we can do it tomorrow" and Alex was turning 2 in January and none of it had been done yet. So we got in gear and started it all last winter and finished with the will and estate in January.
Good luck.

Hi A. W,
I also have a toddler son, Jackson who just turned 2. We recently got our will done and are in the process of financial planning. I have a very good will/trust/estate attorney I used and a financial planner I use. The attorney is Becca Olson with AND Law Offices in Plymouth and her # is ###-###-####
My financial planner person, also highly recommended, is Justin Rutar with Strategic Financial Inc. and he is in Plymouth as well. His # is ###-###-####.
I will let them know you may be contacting them to set up a consultation.
Best Regards,
N.
