I have Kevin's book and have followed his theories to get great results. I believe he is right on with this information and advice anyone to read his books and follow his advice. He advocates awareness of chemicals in daily used personal care and beauty care. He is definitely on the right track, very outspoken and authoritarian. Have you seen him on TV?>
He and I speak the same speech, and everyone thinks we work together because we share the same ideas. I have him on a page on my website and get lots of hits from it.

I think it is a great book and have given it to others in my family. He speaks of many different ways to stay healthy and I have tried several, it can be overwhelming all at once. I recommend you start with a few changes and pay attention to how you feel - it is definitely worth it.

Please do a google search of "Ken Trudeau" and I think you will learn the truth about the man. He is a con artist and has a long history of trouble with the government. Example

http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=75553

I watched one of his infomercials and stuff does not stick to your colon for years. THis is part garbage and some science. Please discuss this with your doctor before you do anything. Please be very very careful!

He read books and then use that information for his books. The information he put out has been in Rodale/Prevention publications for years. I would go to the library and find some of those books before I would buy or read anything he puts out. He has been in trouble as a scam artist years ago. The first time I heard about him was about 10 years ago with he got in on a multi-level nutrition program. I don't think it even is around any more.
Also go to Dr. Andrew Weil and check out his infromation and books. He is a real Dr. and Alternative medicine Dr. and has very good and up to date medical/alternative advise.
Good Luck!

I don't have a succinct answer as to "the results" but I have done many of the things he says for many years. I have no definite answer as 1) i am a healthy person so personally I cannot say "I had __________ disorder and it went away." It makes sense to eat how he says, to cleanse your body naturally and regularly...and 2) there are so many things discucced in the book the question might be a bit too broad. I think it is interesting to note that while we are concerned what type of gas we put in our cars, our dr.s prescribe any number of drugs and never advise us on what type of "fuel" we put in ourselves. Doesn't that make you suspicious? Is your dr. more concerned with your health or his own profits? Are you aware that dr.s get incentives or kick backs from drug companies when they prescribe their drugs??? It goes on and on... I don't like that Kevin is recommending scientology. I also think you can find out on the web, without paying for access to his website, anything you need to know about the things in his book. If the A.M.A. (americam medical association) has been around for 100 years and natural, herbal, food based medicine has been around for 1000s of years, why is the latter refered to as "alternative"?
Educate yourself. Check out curezone.com mmsmiracle.com a book called The Mastercleanse. "The Fat Flush Plan" is a book that could be called "How to clean your liver" but that would not sell as well.

Great! I am very much into the natural ways. I have always tried to avoid drugs whenever possible. It is the 3rd leading cause of death in America. We have 6 kids and our whole family has been educated on the right way to survive. That's why we take healthy supplements and eat healthy. No dairy, cheese, sugar, partially hydrogenated oils or artificial sugars or dyes. We also take Mannatech. Our kids are not allowed to leave the house without that. Kevin Trudeau is a hero! You are very bright to be reading about that to make your family better. Go to: http://www.HealthyAnswersOnline.com and this is a great site for you and your family to learn about healthy nutrients for pregnancy, newborns and pediatrics. Hi L.,
Please be very careful with this book, I have read a number of articles from health oriented journals that it is verging on dangerous practices for followers. Also,
he was sued and prohibited from speaking about this material by the court system if I remember correctly.
I recently saw him selling some other item. SNAKE OIL!!
D. Use your good sense, follow a normal diet and exercise and don't waste your $$ on this guy.

Yes L.. I have read it and I agree with his suggestions in the book about diet changes. I had already done some of what he suggested in a detox program I did. But being in the nutritional business for 8 years, I have learned alot about diet, exercise and vitamins/supplements and how they affect your body. I think a good book for people to read is "The Next Trillion." You should be able to find it at Barnes and Noble and Borders. I think once people read this, they will understand why the drug companies don't want us to know the information he presents in the book.

Yes...unfortunately his first version of the book didn't tell hardly any of the "cures", other than being miffed about that...most of what he says is very good advice and pretty accurate...the country is finally realizing we were going down the wrong road in health and it's nice to see a national trend going the right way now.

I haven't read it. I heard he's a quack (nothing to back up what he says, and no education on it either). I think I remember seeing him on the Today Show or something, and he couldn't even defend himself. Hope this helps. Good luck on your second baby!

My friend had this to say about the book you asked about:

"Yes, drug companies and the American medical system are too profit-driven. That doesn't mean that modern medicine is bunk. Some people take too many pills. That doesn't mean that sometimes drugs are necessary to treat whatever condition someone may have. This guy is a snake-oil salesman, pure and simple. Some of his ideas may have limited merit, but overall, his premise is a lie. I'd like to know how many of his "cures" have ever been documented in a peer-reviewed medical or scientific journal. That's the litmus test. Making an outrageous claim on TV or in a book doesn't make it true. I mean, this is the guy who tries to tell us that the Sun can't cause cancer but that sunscreen will! Or that thirty years ago some doctor created a "serum" that eliminates cancerous tumors in a couple of hours. Sure, most of us need to eat better, avoid processed foods, and try to rely on diet and exercise before turning to drugs ... but there are cases when modern medicine is the appropriate option. It's not a conspiracy. Let's stop disguising these phony cult-like beliefs as some kind of science, okay?"

I tend to agee with her. My advice would be to try anything you want on yourself, but be very careful with your baby -- soon to be babies. Good luck and best wishes to you and your growing family.

My husband and I read this book about 2 1/2 years ago, and for the most part we tried to make some changes, but over time we pretty much just went back to doing what ever we wanted. It did make us aware of several things, but for us we still use several things, but we modified it to make it fit our lifestyle (which is what you have to do with any change).

Hope this helps!

Hello L.,
I've read both of Kevin Trudeaus books, Natural Cures and the follow up as well. While I was surprised that he didn't name specific cures I now understand he was unable to, he states that through out the book. I read some of your responses and especially like Cheri's advice... I checked out the 1st link & thought it was a positive interview. As far as the FDA, FTC, AMA claims toward Kevin go - he comments on this all the time, I do not believe he's a con man - he is simply threatening all of these industries with the information he publishes. I received both his books for free, only paying shipping and handling.
I follow a lot of practices he speaks of, though some of the suggestions are a bit too "out there" for me, I would suggest reading a variety of books with Natural Remedies, Organic Foods, Cleansing, etc.
I enjoy Jordan Rubin's books quite a bit, partly because he is a Christian like myself, also because he actually WAS cured of a horrible, life threatening disease through Natural Remedy.
His website : www.makersdiet.com
Dr. Mercola has a great newsletter via email as well. ( google)

I have experienced an abundance of health and energy since I've cut out junk food, sodas un needed sugar, medicines, etc. My children are not receiving vaccines and have had far less colds let alone major health problems than their peers. My husband had been battling major nerve damage problems (caused by a brain surgery 15 yrs ago), he is now free of pain and medications for 2 1/2 years. My youngest son was prescribed a nebulizer and we were told he would suffer from asthma with each cold... we've since switched to Raw Milk ( Organic Pastures), and never taken the nebulizer out of the box!
There is a lot to be said for eating healthy, whole foods - using natural remedies when sick and avoiding Drugs of any kind. Anyone who watches a commercial for prescription meds should know this as the side affect warnings are laughable!!!
I am passionate about this subject, sorry for such a long response, however, I recommend not getting too caught up in the conspiracy theory aspect relayed in some of the books out there. Life is too short - I don't wanna sound like a crazy person, I do what I can with my family's health in mind.
Best Wishes,
M.

If you can every do a natural remedy instead of conventional medicine and drugs it is always the way to go. As far as Kevin Trudeau's book's go, they have some good advice but there are MANY other books out there that are better researched and have really good advice. There is a store in St. George called 'Health and Longevity" Scott Werner is the owner and he is an absolute expert about natural remedies and herbs. If you get a chance go to see him. I take my kids (and myself) there for everything.
Good Luck

I'm torn on what I've read about him online and have read his book, "natural cures". I think he gives some good info in the book but then he says to get real details to subscribe to his newsletter or something of the sort... that is a little fishy. I liked some of his recommendations nontheless about seeing a chiropractor and other holistic approaches where he does not financially benefit. Wish I could have seen one of his infommercials so I could get a sense of how he went about supposedly conning people. Good luck!

Hi L.,

I know there are now serveral versions, but the version that I bought didn't actually have any regime to follow. It was more like a report that things can be cured if you have the recipe to follow...and then no recipe. The whole thing was that you were then invited to join his website for a fee. After spending $30+ on the book and getting no real direction I didn't want to waste anouther penny on joining the site. I ended up going back to school(holistic health practioner)to answer the questions that I have.

I have read the first book then followed up with the second, which lists specific things, products, brands, web sites, etc. and I REALLY recommend it. It will really open your eyes to a new way of seeing things and doing things for you and your loved ones. There is a lot of good advise specially on the food and products we use and consume.

Before you put any of Kevin Trudeaus' "cures" into effect you should know that he was incarcerated for contributing to the death of a few people who used some of those "cures". While some of the information is good, there is plenty that is very dangerous. Many of his "cures" were not properly researched and if you look for his sorses you will see that quite a few of the "doctors" that he lists have lost their license to practice medicine.
My advise would be to research the ailments that you are trying to cure and pay close attention to the refrences; when a doctors name come up Google that doctors name to be sure they actually practice that kind of medicine and they still have a good reputation.
This may seem like a lot of work but when it comes to your child doing a little homework could save his life.

The trick is making sure you start working on your weight right away and since I did by cutting my portions in half and excising for a hour a day.....lost an additional 20 pounds and with 15 more to go will be at my goal and did it in 8 months!! So that was the "jump" start I needed!! I also tried that coconut oil "thing" but that did not work at all!! So I think some things work and some things don't!! Good luck...........V.

I have Trudeau's "Natural Cures" and "More Natural Cures" books and have read both. I agree with him for the most part on what he says and I put into practice things he says to do such as never use Teflon non-stick pans, never use microwaves, never get any vaccines, never take any drugs or antibiotics, etc. and I believe that we have been greatly rewarded with good health and especially my 13.5 month old daughter who I gave birth to in my house, who has never taken and drugs, nor antibiotics, nor has received any vaccines, and she has never been sick, never had an ear infection, and is very alert and smart, I believe due to not putting all these poisons in her body. So yes, I agree with what Kevin Trudeau says. He knows the truth about what causes illness and disease.
