Ive been trying to find a couple kids to nanny and I'm not having to much luck. I'm familiar with the wed page siittercities.com but that's more of you putting your own information out there and then anyone who is looking for a nanny can read about you and contact you. Does anyone know of any web pages that have people looking for nannies and I can contact them? Or how I would go about finding something like that? All suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

What can I do next?

Try Craigslist. There is one for pretty much all over..........you can put a free ad out there and that should help......if not, go to the internet and on google, type in free classified ads, and sign up and put out an ad with some of those........

Good luck and take care.

www.nannies4hire.com was a God send to me when I was looking for a nanny. I had women contacting me about being a nanny for me, and I was able to contact them as well. Good luck!

Care.com has lists of parents seeking care workers. You can apply for jobs through their website if you are signed up with them. It's free unless you allow a background check and then it's $8.

I am a nanny and I have used sittercity.com and care.com

I found the family I'm working for now on sittercity.com

On both sites, you as the nanny can search for jobs in your area and apply to those jobs. If the family feels you are right for them they can send you a message and set up an interview.

Try College Nannies and Tutors in Glenview. You'll pay more, but they do all the background checks and take care of all the "legal stuff". We used them one summer and were very happy.

Don't hesitate to use Sittercity -I got my nanny from there and so have several people I know and we love them! You will probably have good luck putting your info out there. It makes potential clients more comfortable.

With Sittercity, you can put your info in there as you mention so people can see you. But you can also apply for jobs that come up. That is how I found my current sitter. She applied for the job I posted. She said she got a notice about the job posting based on her location and other info she put in so it would work both ways. One advantage you could have is providing a background check via the site.
