Yep - it's keratosis pilaris...another form of eczema. What lotion do you use? We use eucerin calming lotion...but usually have to switch between that and Aveeno oatmeal (green one) a few times a year, as it "stops" working.
My 3 year old niece has tiny little bumps (almost like goose bumps) all over her back and sides, down to the tops of her thighs. She has had them for months and they don't seem to bother her. She has eczema flare ups but they seem unrelated. Anybody have any ideas on what this could be?
Thanks!

I would suspect that she is sensitive to something in her environment (food, pet, pollen, mold, and/or chemical sensitivity). You may be able to figure out what she is sensitive to by process of elimination. For my boys, we found out their skin issues were largely caused by chemicals in just regular every day products we were using around the house. I definitely recommend that you look into it! :)
It sounds like keratosis pilaris. It's really common and it's basically where the skin hardens a little at the hair folicles. I have it on my arms, and both my kids have it on their arms and legs. It's harmless and my peditrician says that you can use a cream called Carmol, but you would have to apply daily. I just make sure they are well moisturized in the winter.
My son has eczema & flares up when he is outside, w/the little bumps, he currently goes to a skin doctor & has prescription medicine by mouth & the lotion, I have given him baths in the Aveno bath stuff & helps the itching.
It is Eczema my son has the same thing.
My sister posted this for me since I'd already posted 2 requests today (about moving to McKinney). A little more info that I just thought of...
I use Cheer Free detergent and my daughter takes showers, using the same shampoo, conditioner and soap for over 2 years. We do all of these things to keep the eczema in check, and haven't had any problems with it in months. These bumps are so little that you can't see them unless you're really looking, we noticed them when rubbing her bare skin. They don't itch, she doesn't even know they're there!
Thanks for any input you might have!
It could be molluscum warts - which are contagious and spread & are very common. Hard to treat, and not threatening in any way. My son had a patch of this on his chin. Not sure what else it could be since she has them all over like that & there's not an issue with them - but it could just be dry/rough skin - unrelated to eczema.
Good luck! S.
