Use the nail polish remover. I spilled that new OPI "After Dark in Lincoln Park" nailpolish on my tannish carpet. The nail polish is dark blue! The polish remover totally removed it and surprisingly enough, didn't change the color of my carpet that much. If it will work on my tannish carpet, I think it will certainly work on yours!

I use stuff called P.O.G. (paint, oil and grease) I don't know where to get it from, I got mine from the guy that cleans our carpets, but it gets ANYTHING out and doesn't ruin or stain the carpet.

Good Luck!

My 13 yr old got brown polish on my white carpet in Dec. I used the full strength nail polish remover to get it out. I put the remover on a cotton ball and dabbed (don't rub)until I got the polish out. Make sure when you dab, you are using a clean part of the cotton ball so you don't reapply the polish to the carpet.

This was my 2nd expereince with nail polish on my white carpet. I also was aware that I could be reuining that part of the carpet. It worked for me with no damage and no sign of the polish.
