Nail Polish Issues

So I am finding that almost all of my bottles of nail polish are runny.
When I apply them, they seem to be gummy for "slide off".
Some are cheap polishes, some are a bit more pricey. Some I've had for awhile, some are fairly new.
Any ideas? What to do? Never had this problem before.
Not sure if it's my nails and my body chemistry reacting to something.
I keep the polish in an area that does not get excessively cold or hot. TIA

So What Happened?

I've tried adding a few drops of nail polish but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
I'll try it again, though. Thank you!

If you put a little polish remover in them it makes it smoother. However, have you ever heard of Jamberry Nail Wraps? They are applied with a blow dryer, non toxic, don't chip and last up to 2 weeks on fingers and 6 weeks on toes and are less expensive than manicures. Here is the link: http://nailsbyfaith.jamberrynails.net They also sell polish that won't give you problems. Good luck!

Add a little paint thinner. My brother in-law paints cars and knows a lot about paint, when I had that problem years ago he told me to do it and it worked. All else fails buy new. Good luck!

Start new and fresh.

I only ever get the more pricey polishes because they last longer on the shelves than your cheap polishes.

The brands I like are Orly, Essie, and O.P.I. My favorite is O.P.I., then Orly then Essie.

These also seem to last much longer on my nails than the cheaper polishes and I'm very hard on my nails.

I find adding some nail polish remover works for sticky/stringy polish too!

I've used nail polish thinner. It's been a while since I've put that kind of work in. I just take the color that I want to use to the salon and let them deal with the chemistry of it.

In my experience, adding nail polish REMOVER dulls the finish.
