with a large area that may be a problem, however I have used finger nail polish remover on carpet before in a small area. Best use the kind without acetone. you do have to be careful for it not to spread. Good luck.
Any Ideas on how to get green nail polish out of the carpet. It just happened like 20 minutes ago...wow! Its a very large area too.

Use Solumel, certainly not WD-40! Solumel is all natural and will not harm your carpet in any way. Read the warning label on WD-40 -- it's ridiculous!
A co-worker of mine had the same thing happen to her and she used plain old men's shaving cream and it worked wonders.
Sol-u-mel from Melaleuca would be what I would use.
Wonder if rubbing alcohol would work?

Absolutely sol u mel! You do have to be a member of Melaleuca to order it but if you know anyone in your area who is a member you could ask if you have borrow it from them. If you don't know anyone then either get in contact with Sherry or myself and one of us can set you up with an account. It is only $1 for a year membership till the end of this month. There is a monthly requirement for the order but if you have other things you are running out of you can definitely get those things from them too and just try it out. I'm sure you will find their products to work better than anything you have ever tried and they have a 60 day money back garauntee on everything. I know for sure that nail polish remover will just make it spread and also take the color out of your carpet so I wouldn't try that at all. Sol u mel won't take the carpet color out but it will take the nail polish out even if it has tried for several days (also great for permanent marker and gum :))
Hi S.! Try WD-40! it's alot cheaper than Sol-U-Mel!
One word about Sol-U-Mel. I used it for this same purpose and it only spread the stain on my carpet and the noxious smell of sol-u-mel stayed for weeks. After 5 years I am finally rid of the Melaleuca Company.
I've heard peroxide will get anything out of a carpet without ruining the color. Good luck!
