help i don't no what else to do about my 3 year old son who is getting worse at biting his nails and now his fingers too the skin around it.I've tried the nail polish for nail biting that didn't work,I'm always telling him to take his fingers out of his mouth,nothing is helping and i'm getting very worried,does anybody no what else i can do before i call his dr.?
My 3 year old son does the same thing! Nothing has worked for us yet, someone told me to put tobasco sauce on his fingers, i haven't tried that yet, sounds a little harsh?! But now he has started chewing on his TOE NAILS!??! So I think we're officially to the call the dr. stage! But if you find anything that works Please let me know! I'm desperate!

When my one son was little he use to suck his thumb. There was a product called "Thumb Suck" that I use to put on his thumb to make him stop. It tasted awful, so it worked. It should work just as well on nail biting.
Even if this product is no longer available, I am sure a similar one is.

My 4 year old has been doing it for over a year now. The doctor said that it's a normal way for this age group to deal with anxiety.
I would take him to the doctors there might be some other lying problem..

When I was little I also bit my finger-nails. My older brother told me that my nails (the sharp points) where going to all get crowded in my tummy then........(here's the gross part)..........the sharp part of the finger nail will cut through my tummy and my guts will fall out!!!
I stopped biting my nails!!!
