Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about doing the Mystic Tan? Does it wash off if you go swimming? Also can you do this while you are pregnant? Thanks

Hi J., I would not do Mystic tanning ... it is never even and is really smelly! I also would NOT use the California Tan airbrush, it isn't any better than Mystic. I have used TanFX, the only place I know that does it is Sutera Spa in Flower Mound, but I am sure there are other places in the metroplex. TanFX is awesome! I highly recommend it ... it looks natural and does not smell. I hope this helps!

Based on my experience....Mystic tan from Planet Tan is waaaaay better than Palm Beach Tan (leaves streaks). Also - chlorine does wash the tan off. I found out by dipping my legs in the pool :) and having a line. nice eh? live and learn!

not sure on the pregnancy thing tho.

When I was pg I had a person spray me. I didn't have a Mystic tan around. My OBGYN at the time told me not to inhale the fumes. I don't know how much control you have w/that at MT, but witha person spraying you it is easier to avoid it. It did not come off in the pool. It lasted on me for about 8-9 days. Be sure to exfoliate before you go. good luck!

i have not done this personally but all the people that i know that have done it say it's a big hassle and that it's really hard to get all the access stuff from your knees, elbows, and ankles and so it comes out looking funny. i'm not sure about the pregnancy thing either.

I like mystic, but much like any self tanner watch those knees, ankles/heels and elbows! NOOOOO it is not suggested you use self-tanner while you are pregnant (I asked the same thing) While nothing says it IS harmful, nothing says it ISN'T and it is chemicals that do get absorbed. . . so use caution, talk to your OBGYN and weigh the risk vs benefit for you

The first day or so, they advise you not to shower or do activities that make you sweat.
It is safe to do while pregnant

Will you let me know what you find out about Mystic tan, if anything. I am pregnant and have been wanting to try it out myself. Thanks.
