My son will be two next month and needs to get his two year check up and immunizations. Do you have a pedicatrician that you love? Please let me know!

I'd also like to get him into a part time preschool program, NOT a daycare. Please let me know of any that you have loved. We still don't know many people and my son needs some interaction with other children!!

Thanks, Moms!

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies! I made an appt. for my son at Grand Strand Pediatrics with Dr. Fam. Deidre who answered the phone was so very sweet even after I told her we would be a self pay as we have no health insurance. (You wouldn't believe how rude some people can be once you tell them that!!). His appt. is on the 19th and I'm actually looking forward to it. Thanks again for the recommendations!! :)

I've only been in the area for a bit over a year myself so I can't give you any Pre-K suggestions since my daughter is in school and my son isn't old enough yet. But I can tell you NOT to go to Coastal Pediatrics (Dr. Lindsey & Sangtian) over by Conway Hospital. That is where my son goes and if it wasn't for the fact we are moving in a few months I'd change him to my Family Dr (Lindaberry & Papato in Carolina Forest). If you'd like my laundry list of reasons why not to go there, send me a message cause it will be long! hehe

But I have heard people say they are happy with Grand Strand Peds and several ladies in my OB's office recommended Mangolia Peds down the road a tad from Conway Hospital. Unfortunatly neither take our insurance:( so I don't have any personal experience with them.

Hope this little bit of info helps!!! Welecome to the area!!!

Listen to the other mom's and definatly go to Grand Strand Pediatrics!!!!! My son was really sick when he was a baby and I went through three different pediatricians before he was even diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. My son, Gionni, sees Dr. Baldridge but I love Dr. Moore and Dr.Shuler too. They are all great there, even the nurses.

We love Dr. Baldridge at Grand Strand Pediatrics in Surfside! He is a great doctor who takes the time to listen to his patients and their parents. He also caught my daughter's heart murmur when other doctors had missed it and scheduled an appointment for us to go to MUSC!

I take my children to Grand Strand Pediatrics. My children and me absolutely love Dr Daniel Shuler. We moved here when my middle child was 2 months old and she has seen Dr Shuler pretty much from the get go after seeing some others there, and we just liked him better. She is now 3 and even at age 2 she wasn't afraid to go to the Dr and will willingly let him look in her ears, ect. He is very kind, helpful, and always has your child in mind. I also like Dr. Baldridge and Dr Moore. My daughter goes to Gateway Academy in Surfside and she loves it-Right now they are without a director because the previous director decided she wanted to teach. I like the facility because everything is open. All the rooms are separated by glass, so everyone can see into the other rooms. They do offer tours-go check it out. I think they also have another location in MB, and they have a web-site. www.gatewayacademy.com
