Hi everyone...my 3 yr old son is turning 4 this month. Any cool birthday party ideas? We already went to Fantasyland when he turned 3 and had a home party when he turned 2-looking to do something fun and different that is age appropriate....
:)

How far are you willing to travel? Storyland is a great place in Glen NH to take the kids....It's an all day event and even fun for the parents because almost all the rides are parent friendly as well...They have a website if you'd like to know more

Hello There,
I hope all is well for you and your family. When it's time for my kids parties, I always check on the internet...I usually google birthday party themes and then go from there. We've had a bunch of success doing parties that way. Good luck and have fun no matter what you choose to do this year, that is what you want your son to remember!!!!!!!! Keep me posted on what you guys end up doing. D.

Have you thought about an outdoor at a park party? You could rent one of those giant blow-up bouncing things!! They're so much fun and kids love them!! You can rent them from lots of places and do a barbecue at a reserved spot in nearly any State park

How about a Noahs Ark Stuff N Fluff workshop. The kids get to choose an unstuffed animal, stuff it, place a wishing star inside and receive a birth certificate with it. It is kinda like the build a bears in the mall...but Noahs ark comes to you. Its a great time.

I've heard that Gymboree is a great party place...

But the coolest thing would probably be a really awesome theme party....Like Pirates with a treasure hunt in a local park or backyard, lots of games to keep the kiddies occupied. You could even get the parents involved in the treasure hunt or do a grownup treasure hunt too. playgrounds are awesome for pretending to walk the plank and have pretend ships!

if you dare there's also always the small-close-friends-sleepover party idea.

Hello Noni,
First of all happy birthday to your little man! My neice turned four not to long ago and they had her birthday at home but rented one of those blow up air jumper things. That was all the kids wanted to jump in there for hourse and hours and she didnt even care about presents she just wanted to bounce. Plus by the end of the day its sleepy time :) Hope this was helpful.

you can take the kids to a movie, ice cream parlor, make pizzas at a pizza parlor, build a bear, make tie dye t shirts, go to the park, bowling, chuck e cheese, mcdonalds.. it just depends on what your child likes and how much you want to spend and if you want to do it at home or not. I have a million ideas, email me and we can chat about it.. ____@____.com

Hi!
I'm a mom of a May baby, too! My daughter is also turning 4 this month! We just like having nice relaxing parties with family and close friends. We're praying for a really nice weekend so we can all be outside for her special day. We'll probably play little games with the kids and just have a nice relaxing day for everyone. We normally just do family because I hate doing all the unneeded, expencive so-called goody bags that people just end up tossing anyway. It's my daughter's day, I don't need to buy other gifts for people, hehe. We have a swingset in the backyard with a tree house on it, so the kids should love playing on that. We also have a water table which will get lots of use out of. I don't enjoy the stress of throwing a big bash for a small child who won't even enjoy it because all they want to do is just sit down with a few friends or relatives and play. A big bash isn't a good idea for small children, maybe when they're 16 or something, then we'll do something else.
If you really want to do something not too simple, I'd suggest going to maybe an ice cream place or maybe a pizza place. Anything else would probably be a waste of money and time. Good luck on planning! Happy Birthday to your little one!

Here is something we do for backyard birthdays. I randomly by small goddies toys from the party stores. Then hubby and I stuff them into the balloons, he blows them up. At the party, we bring all the prize filled balloons into the yard, hand the kids out a bag, or pail, something to put their loot in, and what they have to do is sit on the ballons on the grass, and pop them, then they get the prize!!! With 8 kids or so doing it at once, it is really a hoot to watch, and they love doing and it and earning their prizes!!! Our last party, I did about 80 balloons!!!

How about a Treasure Hunt in the backyard? They could follow a map to find a pinata or goodie bags or something.

look into renting one of those blow up slides or activity bouncer things... Our neighbors just had one, as they did last year... my 3 yr old son made it painfully obvious he wanted to go over and join in the fun...

When DS #1 turned 5 he wanted a "carnival with NO clowns" LOL. So we rented a jupitar jump, a snow cone machine, a popcorn machine and had hot dogs. We also got some helium for balloons and did some of those cheesey games my kids seem to love. The kids all had a ball and it was one of the least stressful parties we've had.
