You probably just strained something (wear any new heels lately?), but just to be safe give your doc a call. This could be a symptom of a blood clot. (and probably many other benign things) Don't want to make you worry over nothing, but if it is still bothering you it doesn't hurt to get it checked out.

What does your doctor have to say about this? That would be your best start.

Chiro's great suggestions, and also, why not stretch it out and see what happens. I get the same thing, and if I do deep stretches, it works the kink out.

This is a really great one:

Also, find one called a Piriformis stretch, it's a leg rotator muscle deep in the buttock that puts pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Good Luck!

Rule out a clot and then see a chirpractor. I had the same thing and realized it was my lower back. I actually have issues from the neck down, but that was what was causing my painful numbing (is what I had). I love my chiropractor. She helped me soooo much through my 2nd pregnancy, the first was heck on my back! I see Dr. Lisa Hodges in Munster, IN. She is reasonable and a wonderful person. She will do anything she can to help you and your family feel better. If you would like her number just send me a message. Good Luck.

I agree to go see a chiropractor. I often have an ache in my leg, and it happens when my spine/pelvis are out of whack.

I have had similar pain that was relieved by doing stretches before getting out of bed & whenever I had the chance during the day. I would sit & extend my leg over the bed or sofa. Then use a towel to pull your foot toward you. Count to 30 & do it 3 times each leg. If it continues to bother you I would see a chiropractor.
