My Home Based Business

I have been running my Mary Kay business from home for the last 4 months full time. I'm wondering where I can meet more women that I can share the product with and perhaps share the business opportunity with. It has done amazing things for me and the relationships I've made so far have truly been a blessing to me and my family. Where do you hang out where you wouldnt feel 'bothered' by someone as myself approaching you?

No negativity needed please, thanks.

What can I do next?

A few suggestions:

1. Check out CityMommy - it is a great social networking site for local moms. AND, the first of every month (TOMORROW!!) is free ad day, so you can post an ad for your business. http://la.citymommy.com or http://oc.citymommy.com

2. Find some groups on meetup.com for other women who share your interests. Get to know them, then hold a party at your home (maybe do a mystery hostess party to get them excited). Hopefully that will get you some bookings

3. Look into the Heartlink Network and find a local chapter within your community. It's a group of women who brainstorm ideas for home-based businesses.

4. There is a meetup group called Orange County Boutiquers. A lot of events seem to take place in Whittier and surrounding cities, so maybe not too far from you. Start attending boutiques and events to meet people

When I moved I wanted to switch reps and it took me a long time to find one. Some realtors have a referral guide they give to their clients. Welcome Wagon? Some towns have these.

some avon people leave catalogs in the bathroom and breakroom in my office building. Sometimes I end up buying stuff after I've been reading in the bathroom. :-)

See if there is a director in your area so you can attend success meetings. It sounds like you have all the prospects you need at your finger tips. Start asking your best customers for referals and friends. As a MK consultant myself the best way to get new customer is from getting referals from my current custmers.

Let your family and friends know about this too. Let them know that you need help getting the word out. Word of mouth is awesome! Good luck!

I have a home-based biz too. When I want to meet more people I get involved in a new community group. Check with your Chamber of Commerce for a listing.
