From what to begin my daughter has very bad diaper rush which start to spread all over her body legs hands and the most her face looks like something burn her very red ,red patches and lots of bumps not watery just regular bumps looking very red i try every cream what my doctor prescribe for ex: NYSTATIN THAT WAS FIRST DIDN'T HELP MAKE EVEN WORSE HER FACE AND DIAPER AREA , CLOTRIMAZOLA CREAM ALSO NOT HELPING I AM USING IT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION MY DOC SAYING THAT'S WHY I AM LOOKING FOR SOME OTHER HELP NEED HELP VERY VERY MUCH SHE LOOKS EVERY DAY WORSE AND I HAVE MY FIRST DAUGHTER THAT HAVE TO BE TAKING TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY AND PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME LIKE I DID SOMETHING TO THE BABY OHHH MY I AM LOOSING MY MIND TRYING THINGS AND THEY DON'T HELP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE ...HELP I WOULD GLADLY BE THANKFUL ......
welll it is still there the red patches just got a little pink so that's mean she is getting better , but thanks for all the answers i try everything but didn't work but then i read some more about the diaper rush/yeast infection and i find out that baths with epson salt helps , so i try that and it helping the face got better and the bumps got better also the diaper area got better but i find even more better solution for that u take the the destin cream then ilex skin protectant paste ,then stomahesive protective powder u mix everything together in glass jar and it is ready then u can't put it in the diaper area it working for me its' getting better everyday looking good no more red red .... uhh hope everything going to be okey she's getting better ...... WELL I FOUND OUT WHAT WAS THAT FOR ALMOST A 10 TRIPS TO DOCTORS IT WAS INFECTION OF A THROW AND THE LAST DOC SAID WELL NOBODY KNEW IT JUST BY THE BUMPS AND THE LOOK OF IT EVERYBODY COULD TELL HE GAVE HER SOME STRONG MEDICINE LIKE ANTIBAIOTIC AND SAID TO ME MIGHT BE TOO LATE FOR HER IF I DIDN'T FOUND HIM I WAS LUCKY BECAUSE THIS BACTERIA COULD ATTACK HER INSIDE AND THEN THERE IS TOO LATE FOR HELP OHH MY GOD VERY BAD BAD I WAS LUCKY SO WHEN U SEE SOMETHING LIKE THAT DON'T WAIT JUST GO AND SEEK HELP IF THIS DOC DOSENT HELP GO LOOK FOR ANOTHER ONE LIKE I DID THE JUS KEEP GIVING U DIFFRENT CREAM EVERYTIME IF THIS DOSEN'T WORK .... I would say go to a skin doc instead of a pediatrician who only deals with baby/kids stuff, mostly colds and shots. I always go to the horses mouth, so to speak, I think specialist are there for a reason. Call and make an appointment asap.
Also, petroleum jelly does a lot to eliminate rashes, if its a diaper rash. It creates a barrier to keep the moisture out. Your doctor sounds very inexperienced. Get another pediatrician.
Honey, I'm sorry you and your little girl are having such a rough time! I have had really good results with using oregano oil for such things. Now DON'T put it on straight--it's pretty strong! I take some coconut oil (grocery store stuff), and add some lanolin, some oregano oil, and then maybe some grapeseed oil or olive oil. Mix all together in a glass dish or steel bowl set into another bowl of hot water like a double boiler. Once it's all well blended, put it into a glass jar. Now, I make my own baby wipes, also, and the liquid I pour into it has some more oregano oil, aloe and grapeseed oil in it. If you check out thrifty fun.com, I'm pretty sure I posted my recipe there.
If I were in your shoes, I would first try cleaning her well with a non-chemical, homemade baby wipe. You may also consider giving her a warm bath with maybe a little bit of hydrogen peroxide in it. Don't put much in the bath, and if it's well diluted, she'll never notice it at all. One way or the other, try applying the ointment with oregano oil to the affected areas. When blending the ointment, you don't want more that 10 drops or so in a small jelly jar size batch.
Next--what is she eating or drinking that could be exacerbating or causing the problem. If she's nursing and has a yeast infection, very likely you have an issue, also, so try changing your diet and adding some antifungal herbs to it.

Take her to a dermatologist. asap.
Immediately try oatmeal baths. Take a handful of instant oatmeal, and throw it into 4-6 inches of warm water in the bathtub, and soak her in that for 10 minutes to a half hour, whatever she will tolerate. Let her go naked as much as possible.
It also couldn't hurt to try what Gina suggested about the oregano oil, it's great for yeast, but also other skin ailments. I have had great luck with it in the past.
That doesn't sound like a diaper rash or a yeast infection. I have never heard of a yeast infection leaving the diaper area, yeast likes it dark, warm, and moist, not out in the open air on the legs and such. It could be Fifth's Disease (I mention it because of the red cheeks, it's not serious, it's just a virus that you have to wait out) or something else that's contagious. I would take her in to another doctor IMMEDIATELY for a second opinion, whether it's another pediatrician, a family doctor, or a dermatologist. If one medicine doesn't help, call the doctor and tell him that, it's his JOB to find a treatment for your baby.

If she has very red bumps all over and nystatin made it worse - drier possibly - it's possible that it's an allergic reaction or eczema. My daughter as a newborn has this - and it was persistent. Doc gave me nystatin cream and powder...finally after that made it worse... they realized she also had eczema. The yeast infection was gone but the treatment made her eczema worse. I changed to hypoallergenic organic diapers. We also changed from Mustella body wash to a new baby wash a dermatologist friend recommended (Aquafore hair and body wash) and also now use a new cream called Cerave - found in CVS. Once I did all three things, her eczema (which was impossible to get rid of using many more expensive washes and Rx creams) is totally gone. Another friend of mine whose son had terrible eczema all over...now uses the Aquafore wash and cerave cream and he also showed immediate improvement. Maybe these things will help you as well. good luck.
If it is a yeast infection, ask for diflucan. That's a potent anti-fungal drug that can be given safely to your daughter. In the meantime, keep her as dry as possible. Put lots of cornstarch baby powder in her diaper area and change her frequently. If you'd rather try a homeopathic, over-the-counter solution try gentian violet. You can buy it in your local health food store or the health food section of your large local super market. It stains really badly, but I've heard it's very effective. God bless you!
