My 4-month old has started rubbing her eyes more frequently lately. It really worries me because she'll dig her fingers into her eyes, so I'm afraid she's going to scratch her eyeball! I've read that this means she could just be sleepy, but she does this soon after waking up from a nap and pretty much tries this whenever she can.im really scared now cause she had two little bumps on that eye her Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Take baby to the Doctor.
You need a real diagnosis... not just guessing.
A Doctor has to actually LOOK at it.

And if she has an eye infection, well then eye drops will be prescribed.

TAKE baby to the Doctor.
That is the ONLY WAY to get it diagnosed.

My son had an eye infection. It is called Conjunctivitis. And yes, itching is one symptom of it and a bump.
Pink Eye is another word for it.

Just take baby to the Doctor.
Simple.

have you tried taking her to an eye doctor/pediatrician. something could be wrong with her eyes...or she might be overtired.. good luck hope she's better..

i agree with Teresa O. also could be seasonal allergies and she might have itchy eyes. maybe she is getting lotion or something in her eyes, or there may be an allergen that is affecting her

she might be rubbing it because she was getting ready to get those bumps, it's obviously itching or something. I'd go see the pediatrician for this one.
