what is wrong with you?
take him to the freakin' doctor!
you don't have to be 'new to having a boy' to know that bleeding testicles require prompt medical treatment.

Go to the dr and rule out a yeast infection. Any time a diaper rash won't go away or is that bad, its a strong possibility. Get a prescription med for it. Leave the diaper off as much as possible (I know, that can be disastrous).
You have a pediatrician - that pediatrician has evening and weekend phone coverage. Call immediately! You will get much faster response than waiting for a bunch of people on the internet to get back to you. Your doctor knows you and your baby. Diaper rash and yeast infections can get worse depending on what you are using. A rash can affect both baby girls and boys - you don't have to make a separate question for testicles (not "testicals", by the way, in case you are looking for instructions on a product). Please use the medical resources at your disposal and in your own community. Don't use Google or parenting sites for something that is critical. And you say "I thought I should ask..." - your baby is bleeding and he must be in pain, so you take immediate steps with your physician or even your pharmacist. Delaying comfort to your child while you are on the internet? That makes me so sad to think about.
Take him to the doctor.
Take your child to a doctor.
Ummmm, call your pediatrician. Right now.
My son had a very sensitive diaper area. The best paste for us was Dr. Smiths, order some if you don't have it in your area in the store. Also I had to make my own diaper wipes because the commercial ones irritated his skin. He could go from baby smooth to bleeding in one diaper change. And I changed him the second he used that diaper.
I am assuming this is a bleeding diaper rash. Call the doctor as well because once my son has a really bad rash and it was staph.
I don't think this has anything to do with boys vs. girls. No matter the gender, if the diaper area is severely irritated, don't use wipes or cloths. Until it improves, you will have to basically rinse him off under running water with each dirty diaper (don't do anything if it was just a wet diaper). I know this sounds yucky, but don't use soap, just water. After that, make sure the area is completely dry. Apply a generous amount of Vaseline to the affected area. Then apply a generous amount of maximum strength over-the-counter (40% zinc oxide) diaper rash cream like Desitin in purple/white container. Repeat with every diaper change. I just went through something similar with my son two months ago and this worked better for my son's irritated skin (caused by diarrhea) than prescription diaper rash creams.
Also go see the pediatrician for prescription diaper cream in case - pediatricians use their own formula for severe rashes.
You might be new being a mother of boys (if you aren't just a bored teenager making stuff up), but surely you know how to talk about boys' private parts better than this! Testicals are inside the scrotum. If his testicals were bleeding, his scrotum would be all swollen.
His testicals aren't bleeding. He has diaper rash that is so bad that his scrotum is bleeding.
What you do is take him to the doctor.
I highly recommend getting him to peditrician to discuss bleeding anythings on a 3 month child of any gender
hope he feels better
I live only a little way from you. Call Nurse Direct ask the nurse what to do.
I would take him to the doctor, but also use warm washcloths and mild soap instead of wipes. I would also switch to cloth diapers until it clears up. If the butt paste isn't working, it's time for doctor to take a look. Poor little guy. Hope he feels better soon. If it keeps happening, he may have an allergy or sensitivity to the wipes or diapers you are using.
I vote for vaseline and call the on call nurse lines that most doctors offices have. Not sure why some women on here have to be so rude. This is a parenting site.
Instead of using a diaper rash cream/ointment, use triple antibiotic ointment. Also on my two kids I had to use two different ointments. A&D worked wonders on my daughter, but it made my son's rashes worse, for him I use Desitin. You may need to use a different product.
a dr visit may help. but my pedi would say put aquaphor on it and change him more often.
a little diaper free time will help air it out too. i put 3 layers of towels on the bare floor then laid a diaperless baby on top and let them play for a while.
Take him to the doctor. That said, when my son had a bad diaper rash that was bleeding the doctor told me to avoid butt paste because cleaning it off can actually cause further irritation. He said to use vaseline to cover the area and keep it clean because it created a barrier while being easy to wipe away. After switching to vaseline the rash was gone in just a couple of days.
