Muddy Water Stain on Driver's Seat

Does anybody have a sure fire solution to get muddy water stains out of a fabric seat in the car? My son has managed to stain the front of the seat where his car seat is from repeated climbing up into his car seat and also (by mistake) has put his wet muddy shoes on the back of my driver's seat. I have a beige color, soft (plush?) fabric interior and don't know the best way to get the stains out.

What can I do next?

The sure shot way of getting those mud stains out is to get your car steam cleaned, it will work 100% and will not leave and stains, best of all it will neutralized any germs that came with it or were there before. I use professional steam cleaning http://www.detailxperts.net/services_locations_mobile_det... service of DetailXperts, they might have a franchise in your area checkout there website for this, if not you can look for other steam cleaning service in your area.

Spray on some carpet cleaner (get it good and wet), soap it up, then use a wet dry vac to suck out the moisture (and the dirt). Repeat a few times, then use plain water for the last rinse.

I know exactly what you mean. If you want a sure fire way I would either ask a dealer or a detailer. My other suggestion (although not tried and true) would be to try Spot Shot carpet cleaner. It comes in a blue can with an orange lid. It has done a wonderful job on my carpet and some of the upholstery on my dinette set.

Upholstery cleaner might work.

I would rent a rug doctor from Lowes, Home Depot, etc and get the upholstery cleaning fluid and the attachment. It should take it out. You could always just try the solution and do it by hand, but it might not work as well.
