My daughter goes to St. Bernard and LOVES it. They have relatively small classes and an excellent arts and sciences program. You can't go wrong with any of the Catholic schools but we thought this one was incredible because the kids are so polite and friendly. They really take time to make sure that children can look adults in the eye when conversing, etc. They are just wonderful.

Christ the King is located near Green Hills on Belmont close to Woodmont.
St. Edwards is a little farther away but I've heard good things about it.
Good luck. Welcome to Tennessee!!!!

Depending on where you are going to work, you will have several options.
Christ the King is on Belmont Boulevard - ###-###-####. www.ctk.org/school.

St. A. is out on Charlotte - not really Green Hills area but again depending on where you work, this is a great option. ###-###-####. www.saintannparish.com/school.

Also depending on how far out, you might like to consider St. Matthew. This is located off Sneed Road in Franklin. ###-###-####. www.churchofstmatthew.org

St. Bernard is another option. While this is not a diocesan school it was founded by the Sisters of Mercy. It is a private catholic school. Their structure is not the traditional grades, but they do an excellent job with education. This is going to be your highest tuition cost as well. ###-###-####. www.stbernardacademy.org

There is another option over by St. Thomas Hospital. It is basically a three in one -- Overbrook - the elementary school, St. Cecilia - the high school and Acquina College. This campus is run by the Dominican Sisters who are a very large and growing community. Their motherhouse is over close to Metro Center. They are exceptional ladies who have a passion for learning. The elememtary school is co-ed, but the high school is all girl. Again, this will not be inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination. Overbrook ###-###-####. www.overbrook.edu. St. Cecilia ###-###-####. www.stcecilia.edu

I am very familiar with Catholic School system in the Diocese as well as many of the churches. It would be extremely difficult for me to recommend one school over the other. You will just have to go, see and determine the best fit for your children. I am confident you will be extremely pleased with the level of education and structure that your children will receive.

Good luck. Hope this info is helpful to you.

St Bernard is an excellent Catholic School. It is close to Vanderbilt, but I don't know of any Catholic Schools that are actually in Green Hills. Hillsboro Rd runs through GH and turns into 21st Ave when it crosses over I-440. St Bernard is maybe a 1/4 mile past I-440 on your left (heading into town). So, depending on where you are, it could be super close. It's a great school with small classroom sizes.
