Movies with Babies?

I had heard there were some theaters that had showings of regular (not just for kids) movies during the mornings/afternnoons that you could bring a baby to. I think it might have been called "mommy and me" movies or something. Does anyone know any theaters that do that in the area? I'd love to catch a movie but it's hard with a 3 month old. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks for all your help! I went to the Glen yesterday and saw the Guardian (which was a lot better than I thought it would be- it was pretty intense at times). It was great to see a movie and to get out. Thanks again,
S.

I get the newsletter from the Chicago Babyzone site and there was a link to theatres that allowed small babies. I don't have that particular newsletter any longer, but here is the site. They have a community also so maybe you can ask there.

Congratulations on your newborn!

Hi S.-

This is the most wonderful thing! It's called Reel Moms and it's at AMC theatres (select ones). I was doing research on this program for one of my clients. At the time I was not a mom myself. When I attended one of the showings, I couldn't believe how great it was and will most likely go now that I am a mom with an infant. Loads of moms, a few dads and many babies attend. No one cares if your baby cries, no one cares if your toddler runs in the aisles, it almost seemed like a mom's club (the same moms go every week it appeared and knew each other). I highly recommend it. Here is the link:

Enjoy!

I believe that the Loew's chain offers this program. The one that was closest for me was Old Orchard. Here's the link, you can call to see if they still offer the Mommy and Me Movies.
