I had such severe all the time sickness, I had to be on medication (zofran mainly) and had to visit the hospital for fluids many times. However, some things did help the severity. WATERMELON!! That really helped. Peppermint tea with honey, and ginger root tea. Peppermints. Not the candy kind, but actual peppermint. I bought them in a health food store. I had to stop taking my prescribed prenatals and get something more gentle. If you have to take iron pills, that could cause it also.

Vitamin B6 and perhaps combined with 1/2 dose of Unisom. I had morning sickness from week 6 to week 41. This made it tolerable.

Ughh I feel your pain!! I'm having the most disgusting nauseous feeling all day that I never had with my 2 other kids! It just came on last week and hasn't left. I seriously don't know sometimes if my dinner tastes delicious or makes me wanna vomit from one second to the next. I also feel dizzy and nothing tastes as great as it did before. I just want to feel normal again.

My Dr prescribed Zofran for me and I try to avoid taking it unless I really I have to but it does tend to take the edge off the nausea. I'm afraid I'm beyond the ginger ale and saltine crackers:(

B vitamins, Sea Bands, 'natural remedies" help some people... not me so much. Some things, like ginger, peppermint actually made it much worse. Sipping on small amounts of sprite or popscicles, eating crackers with peanut butter, cheese toast... things like that sometimes helped. Keep up the protein, but pair it with a carb for maximum absorption. Eat small, tiny snacks, but eat them frequently. I was sick all 9 months, all day long, all three pregnancies, couldn't even hold down water. I had to have the prescription ZOFRAN in order to avoid being hospitalized due to the extreme sickness. Talk to your ob about Zofran.

I literally put something in my mouth before I'm awake... Always. Never had morning sickness with any of my pregnancies. I also eat pickled ginger every day. Oddly, both things are what pregnant women are told to do to combat morning sickness. Don't know if I bypassed throwing up because of these habits, or just was lucky.

Oh! I forgot... I did throw up a lot with my son... But it wasn't morning sickness. The STUPID prenatals gave me headaches & hurls. As soon as I quit taking them and switched to flintstones, I quit throwing up. So if you take prenatals, try going off of them for a week and taking a kids chewable a couple times a day instead.

I puked each and every day for 8 1/2 months. If it is bad for you there isn't much you can do except eat what you are hungry for and then plan on being near a rest room...lol.

Try ginger root. I decided that it's just something I had to live with. Thankfully, it's temporary and for a good cause. Hang in there!! HUGS!!

I had BAD morning sickness AND migraines with both my pregnancies.
Per my Doc's suggestion, I got acupuncture.
Just one half-hour session, and it was gone. Completely.
And it was very relaxing.

tums/gingerale/plaincrackers .. on a semi-related note.. i would wait a few hours to take my prenatal vitamins instead of taking them first thing in the morning.. they say take them with food.. one day i figured it wouldnt be a big deal and i just ate a piece of toast with them instead of an actual breakfast/lunch/meal - bad idea, i did not feel good after that

Get Ginger Ale instead of 7 UP. Ginger chews/lozenges were my best friend while I was pregnant. Ginger naturally settles stomach problems. I also wore the travel sickness wrist bands. I had "all day" sickness as well.

During one of my pregnancies, I was sick from the moment I opened my eyes in the morning til nearly 2 or so in the afternoon and then sometimes in the evening, as well. I had peanut butter & crackers at the bedside and would eat a couple of those every morning when I woke up. It really helped. Best of luck to you and congrats!

So sorry! That was me with both my pregnancies. I would advise putting something in your mouth every 1/2 hour so that you never get empty. Don't even look at the food, either. (With my first pregnancy, I couldn't look at food on my plate or even on the TV. I couldn't walk in a kitchen without starting to hurl. My husband would bring my plate into the living room and I'd stab with my fork to get started eating before I could begin to look at the food...)

Try smoothies. They helped me - fruit and protein powder and some nice yogurt thrown in. Drink little sips of fluids - a few ounces every 15 minutes. Don't do any dirty jobs in the house, like cleaning toilets. At some point, you may not be able to eat out and then drive home without getting car sick.

Sometimes when you are nauseous, it's best to just puke and get it over with and you'll feel better. Then you can get to moving around and going through your day. Just make sure that you keep taking your pregnancy vitamins - choose the time of day when you are less likely to vomit them up.

Good luck!! I hope it doesn't last too long!!

I liked peppermints -just the simple red and white round ones.
I also would drink a protein type shake (slim fast) right when I woke up to help settle things, then I could eat some real food about an hr later.
Try some different scents too -maybe lavendar?

After 4 kids, I can tell you that the ONLY thing that worked for me was Linum B6 from Standard Process. It's different from other B vitamins....and it helped instantly. I had to take it at night and lie down and the next morning, I was fine. Then I'd stop taking it, thinking it was over and it would come right back.

Eat fresh ginger in small chunks that you can swallow like a pill. This was the ONLY thing that helped me. Oh, and you can get meds from the doctor and they help some, but not as well as the ginger. Also, pay attention to food that triggers it. For me it changed all the time, but some of them were: chocolate, water, gatorade, diet coke, crackers, cheese, dairy, pizza, meat, fresh vegtables, salad, dressings, etc. Safe bets were usually saltines, baked potatos, and plain noodles. If the ginger is too much by itself, my hubby used to put it in empty glycerin gel caps for me so that I didn't have to taste it. Good luck, and remember, this has an expiration date, and for me it was the operating table!

Oh, I feel for you! I was the same way - I, too, stopped calling it "Morning" sickness and dubbed it "ALL DAY" sickness!! It was horrible. It subsided the second trimester so I thot I was home free...NOPE, it reared its evil head again in the third trimester!! The only thing that worked for me was nibbling on Saltines and sipping Sprite. And laying down A LOT!!! And never EVER getting too far from a bathroom!

Just keep thinking of the end result!!!! Makes it all worth it!!

Morning
Get some good omega 3's . Your baby is depleting your stores (takes 3 years to replenish after pregnancy if not supplementing as they use it for development especially brain).
Omega 3's are very important in the workings of total body organs not just heart.
Energy, post partum from lack, and many more are possible symptoms. Many of my clients can stave off the morning sickness with just that.
Give it a whirl.
To a healthy pregnancy-
