Hi M.,
8 months and a difficult pregnancy. I can relate. The girls at work would ask me ...how are you feeling today and my response would be I'm doing great, its been about 5 minutes that I haven't felt like I was going to throw up.
As soon as that stopped, then I had kidney stones. Only one more month to go. You must be anticapting the day.
One thing that may be happening along with the possibly constipation is severe heartburn that can cause you to throw up. Do you think thta this may be the cause. Most women get heartburn towards the end of the prgnancy. Just another wonderful thing about being pregnant. If it is heartburn then you can try some tums. As the baby gets bigger, it compresses everything inside. Thus causing our stools to become harder and acid to be pushed up the throat. If you think its hearburn then try elevating your bed. This way you are in a sitting up position and the acids would have to fight gravity. So, this usually helps at night.
However, its probably the stomach flu that was suggested by another reader. It is going around the country. I hope for your sake thats all it is and you will feel better the remaining length of your pregnancy.
I know this won't help now but my second pregnancy I was nauseaus for 1 1/2 hours and my husband threw up. So remember every pregnancy can be different.
Also remember, your doctor should be willing to take any questions regading your pregnancy. Give the office a call and you just might feel better talking to a professional.
Good luck and I hope this last part of your pregnancy goes by quickly.
