I take my child to Quail Run Montessori on San Rafael & Tramway. I would definitely visit the schools. They should let you visit with your child too. You'll get more of an idea of what is best for your family. I visited Academy & although I liked it, it seemed like too much of a business. I sat in an office for 45 minutes "learning" about the Montessori way (which I already know)before I even got a tour of the facility, but kids waved to the guy talking to me the entire time. It was obvious the kids liked him & enjoyed being there.

Our daughter has been going to Escuela Del Sol for preschool for a year now, we love it, she loves it. I don't know if it is fair to ask for a "best" school, but better to ask what would be great for your individual child, you really have to go check them out and go with your gut. good luck.

I really liked Cottonwood in Corrales. We went through on a tour and talked to the director but my son doesn't go there...yet. Very expensive. M.

We've only had experience with 1 Montessori school, Academy Montessori (up on Juan Tabo and Menaul) They were excellent and we've referred many of our friends there.
