I wouldn't be skeptical just because someone is a distributor for a product. A distributor cuts the middle man out of the picture, so the products distributors have can be higher quality. It is just a different business paradigm. In fact, for a distibutor set up business to do well, they HAVE to have top notch products or the business collapses. I am MUCH more skeptical of GNC and Walmart health products because they don't have to have pharmaceutical grade products - they only have to be a FOOD GRADE product - mostly filler and they don't check the extraction processes for supplements and products. For example, fish oil at these places is not cold pressed because it is more expensive so the capsules lose their omega 3 benefit - those companies are mostly interested in passing along cheapness to the consumer.
Just a side note - you wouldn't be skeptical about scrapbook paper sold by a Close to My Heart consultant - don't be skeptical about nutritional supplements sold by a nutritional distributor and consultant. They are more educated about nutrition by far than the average joe!
