I've been running 2-3 miles 3-4 times a week for a while. Running every day is not a good idea unless you're in great shape. You can injure yourself by running daily - on non-running days, try walking, biking, swimming, strength training or something like Yoga or Pilates to make sure you're working on strength, flexibility, and upper body.

I don't eat differently on days that I run, but again, I'm not out for hours covering mile after mile.

In the summer I would run everyday but I would not eat any differently. (Possibly better than usual because you don't exactly what to undo what you've done by eating junk.)

I am assuming you are talking about running, not a short little jog.

I don't run everyday because the muscles need to repair themselves. I also want to prevent injury from over doing it. If you run every day, you might not be seeing much improvement.

I run 3 days a week (one day is a long run), cross-train 2 days (biking, swimming, stretching, or something like that), and then rest 2 days.

I don't eat any differently on the days that I run as I try to eat healthier foods all the time. But if I run early in the morning, I wait to eat breakfast until after I run as I need to eat 1.5 - 2 hrs before hand. Everyone is different. You can see what feels best for you. Be sure to drink lots and lots of water. If you don't, I heard it described that your blood will be pumping sludge.

I usually run 4-5X/week with one of those runs being a long run (1-2hours) on Sat. AM. My other runs are shorter (3-6 miles) and done usually with stroller/treadmill/evening alone. I eat the same as I normally eat which is pretty healthy.
Breakfast - toast or bagel w/ peanut butter, fruit
snack - Luna Bar
Lunch - usually leftovers from dinner the night before
Snack - crackers/cheese, graham crackers, cheese stick, carrots w/ hummus (usually whatever my kids are having)
Dinner - Typical weekly menu: usually a lean meat (chix, beef or pork), vegetable, brown rice or baked potato / black or bean or chicken burritos / homemade pizza and salad/ whole grain pasta w/ sauce and turkey meatballs, salad, bread
Dessert: Usually banana bread, or low fat ice cream, or a cookie

I run 4x per week. I downloaded a 1/2 marathon training schedule & follow that plan. I do the big run on the weekend so that my husband can keep the kids busy for a few hours. i don't eat any differently since my typical diet is healthy.
