If you think he has RSV he needs to be seen by a doctor. It can be very dangerous for young children. Is he on a new formula - it could be an allergy to the formula if it is new. Even a cold in a child that young can be a risk so I would see his doctor.

It sounds like your baby has a mild cold with a low grade fever. Yes he can have formula and SHOULD have formula if he's hungry. If his fever worsens to 100.5 or higher and/or his symptoms worsen and he becomes lethargic, cries and can't be consoled, seems to be in pain, can't be roused from sleep (light touch on a cheek but he doesn't react to it), then call the doctor.

99.9 is not very significant, just low grade, usually 100.4 or higher is consideredas more significant, but the wheezing, especially in a 3 month old, is definitely something that needs to be checked out ASAP. It may not be RSV, but there are a ton of other viruses that can cause bronchiolitis, which seems to be what your baby has. If the wheezing is significant, he will probably need to get a nebulizer to get breathing treatments at home. NEVER stop feeding your infant because of fever, they actually need more fluids because fever makes them loose fluids. The only time I would stop feeding formula is if your baby is throwing up everything you feed him, in that case you give a trial with pedialyte and get to a doctor ASAP as well.Good luck.

99.9 is a fever, but not a high fever. Monitor it and if it continues to go up, take him to the doctor. Yes, you can absolutely still give him formula if he has a fever, especially at his age. He should be having bottles as often as desired. In addition to the fever, if he has the other symptoms that you are saying, you need to take him to the doctor. (especially the wheezing.) Try not to diagnose your son on your own...(RSV) My son had RSV at 10 months old and it is not something to mess around with and can be very scary and turn into something very serious.

Feed him then take him to the dr. RSV can get very serious very fast , if you are concerned he may have it he needs to be tested. When my daughter was 6 months old she got rsv and we spent a week at the childrens hospital for it.

Yes definately still feed him. If he still has temp after 3 days bring him to the dr or you feel he is having trouble breathing. Hope he feels better soon and is just a cold.

If you think your son has RSV, then take him to the doctors. RSV is life threatening if not diagnosed. There is no mention of an appointment, is that something your going to do? And ummm, yes, please feed your baby...............

Yes - you still give him formula. That is his food and he needs it. He will get dehydrated very quick and that will make things ALOT worse if you don't feed him. BUT you do need to get him to a doctor as soon as possible. A fever in a 3 mo old is nothing to mess around with and if he has RSV - that can get very serious very quick. Go ahead and feed him and get a doctors appointment.
