Mom's Group

Hi! I am also a first time Mom living in the Logan Square neighborhood. I will shortly be going back to work part-time but would love to meet other City Moms!

I have a beautiful :-) 4 month-old son.

If you know of people in the area that is interested keep me posted as I work in Hyde Park and occasionally could meet after work. I have a one year old son who I like to rush home too, but we need our time too.

I'm from the Washington Park area. It's just west of Hyde Park (although, when you think of it, EVERYTHING is west of Hyde Park...LOL!) Anyway, I'm a single FTM with a 6 month old daughter. I don't know if you were interested in connecting with moms that have children that are the same age as your child, but I figured I'd reply anyway.

I unfortunately have to go back to work, otherwise I would possibly be interested. But I can suggest a class that I took and met really nice people and some were going to get together for a playgroup. The class is offered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Prentice) and it is called Transition to Motherhood. I think the next session starts in a few weeks. You bring your baby and meet really nice people. I highly recommend it. It costs $75 for 6 weeks.

I highly recommend the Transitions to Motherhood class at Northwestern Memorial as a place to meet other new mothers.

Most of us live in the Lakeview area. It might be far from you but your more than welcome to join in. I am due Dec 1st with our first son. I'm also a first time mom of a 3 week old girl. She was born on September 18th 2005. I haven't really communicated with other new mommies in Chicago. I'm currently on leave and comtemplating my return to work. I live in Brookfield. I wouldn't mind being part of a support group. Keep me in the loop with feedback you get.

I would be very interested in being in your Mom's group. I am a mother of 3 in the South Holland, IL area. I do not mind traveling, as long as the group, can travel too (i.e. one month we meet for coffee in Hyde Park, next month we meet at a South Suburban location).

Please reply back and let me know if any other mom's replied and the specifics of when, where, etc.

I am also a first time mom. Our son is 5.5 months old now. I would be interested in joining a group, so if you start one, please keep me in mind.

congrats on you baby boy they are lots of fun i have three children 2 girls and 1 boy. i live near north park university on the north side of chicago and i provide home daycare. i dont know much about groups but iam alway up for a cup of coffee and a good chat mommies need that sometime.
