Mom and Baby Yoga Video Suggestions

Does anyone have a suggestion for a Mom and Baby Yoga DVD? I'd like to do some yoga that involves the kiddo and not just yoga for myself. I don't really want to go to a class because I have two kids, but would like to do something at home. I haven't had much luck finding a DVD yet, but thought you all might have some suggested Videos.

What can I do next?

I haven't had a lot of luck finding any that I thought were that great either. I just thought I'd mention that I do go to a yoga class and have 2. I've been going since my oldest was 6 months - she's 3.5 now. My youngest is 2. We continued going throughout my entire pregnancy (plus 2 weeks late) and returned when my son was 6 weeks old. I am expecting in May again and have been taking my two along with my big belly for the past 8 months. I'm planning to return once the baby is about 6 weeks and take all 3 all summer. My oldest will be in preschool on Wednesdays in the fall so she will stop going to yoga at that point and I'll just take my son and newest baby. I'm not the only one in the class with 2 - the instructor has 2 as well as sometimes as many as 5 or 6 other moms. It works out just fine even though it might seem a little crazy getting there. The older kids tend to have less interest in the yoga and tend to play and snack with each other and be pretty entertained. We do yoga for moms and the little ones can be integrated into them in various ways if they are needy or they can sleep or lay on a blanket next to mom and play. Then we do a couple segments of "baby yoga" that is mostly focused on interaction and fun for the kids. Class is flexible with so many little kids and the instructor adjusts to the moods and attitudes of the kids on any given day. Just thought that might ease your concerns about trying out a class with 2 munchkins.

I don't have any specifics but if you have Blockbuster.com you can go check out the different ones that they offer. I got one sent to me once but never ended up doing it (no time). Just a suggestion.

Check on eBay. I was looking for some exercise videos and came across prenatal and post-natal pilates and yoga videos. If you do decide to check eBay, on the home page go into DVDs/movies. From that point you can do a search for what you're looking for (or go into the exercise/fitness category and then do a search). If you don't find what you want right away try searching for a different title. I hope you find one you like! Good luck!

Hi, I can't suggest a specific video but you can go to the local library and borrow dvds to see which one you like before you buy it. I noticed that you live in Philadelphia. I know that you said you weren't interested in classes but I wanted to let you know that Baby Boot Camp has classes that you could bring both your babies to. It would really depend on where in the Philadelphia area you are from. They have many moms that bring twins to class. And some moms bring a toddler and an infant. They don't just do yoga though, they add strength and cardio training and pilates. At some of the locations the toddlers can play while the moms workout. Send me an email if you'd like more info or go to www.babybootcamp.com.
