So really what my problem is I'm trying to decide on a name I can use. I want to name my daughter after my best friend Jasmine, but I want Jasmine to be her middle name. Any good ideas on first names I can use? I'm open to anything!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for answering! I think I'm actually going to use Jasmine as her first name! It is a beautiful name and it's better used as a first name let's be honest :) I think I may use Jasmine Shae, but I'm still debating!

Jasmine is already jazzy (lol!), so I would go with something classic, like:

Claire
Amanda (Mandy, Amy etc)
Lucy
Elise

Good luck - would love to know what you choose!

A slightly old-fashioned name with three or four syllables would flow nicely: Annabelle, Tamara, Caroline, Olivia, Bonita, Eleanor, Alicia, Rosalie, Angela, Penelope...

Amelia, Avery, Delia, Elizabeth, Harper, Norah, Olivia, stasia, Veronica, victoria. Anything that doesn't end in an "n" sound. But it matters more which first name sounds good with your last name!

With a J middle name... you also have the option to "J" initial it.

AJ
CJ
DJ
JJ
LJ
MJ
RJ
TJ
ZJ

Are the commonly used "J" initial names. Which have the really great 'professional' name option when your daughter grows up. Androgenous names are taken more seriously in most professional work environments. While theoretically that could change, it's unlikely to.

Just something to keep in mind.

Love the name! I ran tons of names through my head, but Jasmine as a first name flowed so much better with most of them.

Behindthename.com has a lot of background info. Maybe you can look up Jasmine and see what other related names sound nice to go with it.

Yesterday a friend said his son's classmate was named "Nevaeh" and he thought it looked like "nevah" as in "never going to do this again!" He had no idea it was "heaven" backwards. So I'd look at the name spelled out and see how it looks as well as sounds.
