My mother went through an early menopausal episode at your age, then she went through true menopause in her mid 50s which is normal. I don't remember the details of her "false menopause" as she calls it, but I think it lasted for quite a while--at least a year. Sorry I can't give you more info about it. I dread becoming Menopause Buddies with her and don't dare ask for details. Good luck and let us know what happens.
UPDATE: CONGRATULATIONS, K.! HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T BE FREAKED OUT FOR TOO MUCH LONGER. SOMETIMES TAKES A LITTLE BIT OF GETTING USED TO THE IDEA. JUST THINK--A BROTHER TO WRESTLE AND CATCH FROGS WITH OR A LITTLE SISTER TO LOOK AFTER. ENJOY!
