I asked my husband because he LOVES watches (he actually has 5 of them)....He's very picky about watches and has specific things he looks for. He has suggested the following : (Lower End Price) Citizen Eco Drive $250-$450 (his was just under $400 on sale). Anything by Citizen is a pretty good choice. But he does have the Citizen Eco Drive, which he picked out for me to get him for his 1st Father's Day. It has no battery, has swiss movements, powered by light and movement, mostly by movement (not solar, but along those lines)..he said with the Eco Drive, if you put it away in a drawer for a week and then take it back it and put it on or shake it a little bit, it will power right back up. Water resistent and can be worn in the shower, pool, etc. Can be worn every day and is excellant quality. He said if you are looking for a very nice watch for your hubby, he would recommend THIS ONE. He said that this is the type of watch that he will have til the day he dies and then can leave it to his son to have til the day he dies.
Higher end would be a Brietling, but they run about $2000 or so, depending on where you get them. He doesn't HAVE a Brietling, but said that this is his dream watch when he grows up and has lots of $$ LOL
