Hi! Does anyone know where I can find maternity ski pants, or if they even exist? I've looked online, but can't find any anywhere!! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Thanks, fellow snow gals! Great idea for me to get some men's bibs. Duh! I didn't even think of that!

For those of you who were assuming I am going full-tilt-boogie downhill skiing or something, fear not. I don't like playing in the snow with my child while I wear jeans - too cold and wet! I just need something waterproof and warm to get me through the snowy months. Now, for those of you wondering about moms who DO ski while pregnant, I have spoken with several doctors, and they all agree that skiing in the first or second trimester is ok for those who already do it regularly. I'm not a downhill skier, though. And cross country skiing on flat land without hills doesn't worry me, or my doctor, in the least, as long as I don't exhibit any signs of fatigue or dizziness, etc. I know my limits! Thanks for the concern!

L.,

I can't imagine your ob-gyn would give you a thumbs up to ski while pregnant. Skiing uses every muscle in your body - especially your stomach. You could really overdo it and harm your baby. I would be very surprised that your doctor said it is okay for you to ski while pregnant. If he did say okay, I would find a different doctor. I highly recommend you NOT skiing while pregnant. I only see bad things coming out of it.

The 1st time I was pregnant, I was due end of Feb so I was pregnant all winter and Im 36 weeks now and we already have snow on the ground where I live in MN. Since I have been pregnant thru 2 winters now, I have found that my DH's snow pants and bibs fit me well. Im pretty sure they dont make maternity snow pants, and if they did they would probably be expensive like regular snowpants. I would just buy some men's snow pants or snow bibs and wear those. They worked for me and then my DH just took them back when I was done with them.

I agree with buying in the men's section. A lot of that seasonal stuff is marked way to high in maternity stores, if they even have it.
