I think the Women's shelter is a great idea as long as everything is unopened and sealed.
Many of those women are trying to get jobs, etc and this could help them. :)
No longer selling cosmetics and want to give away leftover inventory. It's a hodge podge of things. Would like it to go to a needy cause. Thought of a women's shelter. Any other ideas? Thank you!
Thanks everyone! Great ideas! You guys are the BEST!

There is a program called Dress for Success - and people donate used business attire for people seeking new jobs. I don't know if it's in your area or not.
There are battered women's shelters who could use this. My girlfriend did a drive like this for the battered women's shelter in Utah - and asked people to help out - it was great!
You can check with your local high school drama club or maybe a theatre group to see if they can use it as well.
Great thing you are doing!! Good luck!
battered woman's shelter would be a good place, often they have to leave everything behind
I used to do Mary Kay. I stopped and it just happened that was the year my son was in 8th grade so I donated it to the school for their play.
What about a theater group?
A battered women's shelter would be perfect. Or a women's halfway house.
Also, consider going to a nursing home and giving the ladies makeovers. :-)
Women's shelters are a great option. Also, cancer groups for women fighting and surviving. Another option is one fo the groups that helps girls get dresses for proms and such. I cannot think of the name right now.
Sell them for cheap at a yard sale. Give them to friends at a Girl's Trade Party.
A lot of women's shelters will take it. They help women with job interviews. I would think they are always looking for makeup, nice shoes, and business clothes. Give one a call!
Job training centers, even the food bank takes personal items like that.
Check to see if your community has a "Sally's House". That is the Salvation Army's center for homeless women and children. They love to take that kind of stuff!
A high school theater group would love them, I bet! The arts have been severely cut at most schools, so any donation like that I'm sure would be welcomed.
