Magnet Men will work. I used to teach third grade, and after we painted a chalkboard with magnetic paint the magnet men would hold up laminated chart paper. Nothing else worked very well.
I have painted some magnetic paint on our walls and I am looking for magnets to use for it. The can says to use lightweight but strong magnets. I have found magnets that stay on, but I have not found any that will hold a piece of paper up very well. Maybe it is not meant for that, I don't know. I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions, or maybe someone has used this paint.
Thank you.

You may need to give the paint two or three applications to get the magnets to stick properly according to what I just read when I looked it up.
in the house i used to live in, they used regular magnets. and they held paper and other things like that. good luck
I hadn't read any other replies so hope I'm not repeating anyone but how about magnet clips, I think they're by "OXO" and I think I got mine from Target. You can get them in larger and mini sizes. I have the mini sizes that I use on the refrigerator. I've been thinking of doing the magnetic paint for our sons room and planned on getting him the bigger OXO brand clips to use with it.
Hope this helps!
You could try the magent paper that you can feed through your printer (I've also had my kids just draw on it)..... but if you print a 4x6 picture or something it is a good sized magnet!
In our experience, it is a neat concept, but has not worked quite as well as we had hoped. We applied 3 coats of the magnetic paint and it is still not great. We use the small, but extremely strong-hold magnets. (They will hold up to 12 sheets of paper on the fridge, but only one on the magnet wall.) We also have 2 magnets per piece of paper. They cost about $13.00 for 12 magnets; something like that. We purchased ours at the Container Store, but I'm sure you can find them locally as well.
i have seen small, but very strong magnets in bookstores /giftshops
Biggs has $1.00 magnets that are stainless steel/metal looking, shaped like a rock, and have inspirational words on them (Dream, hope, etc.) I use magnet clips to hold any papers rather than a single magnet. I think the paint is designed more for play (ABCs and words) than practicality. Magnet men hold a lot, but sometimes you may find that banks and medical offices (pharmacy) have promotional ones for free. If you care to create your own gem type ones, I can help you with that idea. Just write me back about it.
My only exposure to magnetic paint is on HGTV and from I what I saw it was more for just play with the magnents, not to hang things with them. But I bet you could find more out by googling it. Good luck!
Have you tried the magnet clips.I just love them. I find them sometimes in the grocery stores or Bed Bath and Beyond. The magnet is very strong and the clips are a sturdy plastic and rubber and hold very well anything you clip. They come in lots of fun colors.Hope this was helpful
