Lymes Disease?

I went to the dr this morning again for the tight feeling in my toe and tingling all night in my legs. She didn't see anything that looked like I hurt my toe and it wasn't colored like my circulation was cut off. She told me to take Tylenol every 6 hrs. I can't get into the nuroligist for another month. What am I supposed to do in the meantime when this happens? I was curious about Lymes disease because Im up north alot and did get a tick bite 2 years ago that I was treated for (I didn't have a rash but my bum was very sore). Tingling hands and feet/legs are symptoms! I meant to ask the nurse and forgot with my son being in the room causing disturbances. Should I call the Dr again asking for a Lymes Disease test or the urgent care I went to today (they are the ones who treated me for the tick bite 2 yrs ago)? I can't sit and wait another month with this happening.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I was only given 1 pill for the tick biteI've been trying the chiropractor but it's still there. I saw Jack Osborne talking about his MS and he had the tingling too.

My daughter was diagnosed at age 2 with Lymes disease. At age 2 I bathed her every night. I never saw a tick and she did not get the bulls eye rash.
Another tick certainly could have infected you in the last 2 years. I think you should be tested.
Best of luck.

My nephew had lymes at age 3. He had the classic bulls eye rash, so they were able to catch it a bit easier. My son had a tick recently, and it was one of the small, brown deer ticks, so we were concerned about Lymes. My sons pediatrician told us that the tick has to be imbedded for 24 hours to transfer disease. We knew exactly when he got the tick and we were sure it was not there for 24 hours so that made us feel releived. do you know how long you had the tick? I know sometimes you would not know (like maybe if its on your head) but with my son it was on the back of his shoulder and I was certain it had not been there the previous night at bath time or in the morning when he got dressed. Maybe this will help you make your decision. Overall though, better safe than sorry. Lymes can be very hard to diagnose, so keep pushing the doctors for more answers if you dont feel comfortable with the responses.

I think that you should request a blood test for Lyme disease. What you describe could be a symptom of lyme, as well as a number of other conditions including compressed spinal nerves, low back injury and more seriously MS. I have a cervical spine injury and I get tingling and numbness in my hands. I also get tingling and numb feeling in 3 of my toes.

The only way to get an accurate diagnosis is to get tested, see what the doc has to say

FYI - both my son and I had Lyme and neither of us had the bulls eye rash that is so common with the disease

Lyme disease is very tricky. A conventional doctor will give you a test that very well may come back negative when "Lyme literate" doctors will look at other tests and conclude you do have Lyme. When you say you were treated 2 years ago, did they put you on antibiotics then? If so, then you likely don't have it. If they didn't, then I would recommend finding a Lyme literate doctor in your area and see him/her. Or you could start with your regular doctor but don't be convinced if the test comes back negative. It's a tricky diagnosis. There are homeopathic treatments but often a year or so of antibiotics is the "cure."

Maybe go see a chiropracter and have some adjustments done. Sounds like a circulation or nerve pinch possibly.
Are you overweight at all? Excess weight causes pressure points that can result in the pain and tingling of the lower extremities.
Start a good stretching routine. Stretching works wonders for many of our aches and pains.

A phone call never hurts, and will save you the worry. Call both and see what they say - doc first, cause why spend on the urgent care if you don't have to.

If you think you have Lymes disease see if there is a kanisiologist near you. (Sorry don't know how to spell it) My mom said that the one she has started going to was able to treat her friend for it with vitamins and stuff instead of MONTHS of antibiotics. They will be able to tell you if you have it.

Good luck and God Bless!

If I had tingling in a foot or hand I would see a Chiropractor and my massage therapist (deep body massage), close together maybe even on the same day. This has worked for me every time.

If that doesn't help, then request a test for Lymes.
