Salads, soups, I make sandwiches on flatouts or sandwich rounds. Also hummus and some pita chips. I always pack fruits and veggies too.
I see a lot of questions asked about what to pack in our children's lunches. I've got that down pretty well, but I need more ideas for ME! I'm getting burnt out on the same old. I don't like to spend the money on eating out while I'm at work, so I bring my lunch every day, but I need some more creative ideas. FYI, I have lap-band, so I can't eat a lot of bread, and I don't eat a lot of starch, whole grains ONLY.
Thank you for your suggestions!

Hmmm, well right now as I type, I'm eating a cup of chicken noodle soup, a cup a cottage cheese, and an apple.
I'm a big fan of brining 2 packs of oatmeal and having that for lunch with a handful of almonds.
Or the Naked Juice drinks - the protein one is quite filling and I'll use it as a meal.
These are all things that I bring to work on my own. I don't like to spend $$ eating out very much, either.
-tuna mixed w/light mayo, tiny bit of mustard, red onions & pickles. dip w/
crackers
-yogurt
-pita filled w/ham or turkey, sliced tomatoes & sprouts
-soup in thermos
-boiled egg w/whole wheat crackers
-dinner leftovers

-fruit smoothies w/side of granola
I like my lunches to be like snacks - a hard boiled egg, a few cheese and crackers (triscuits), chicken salad (you can just eat it out of a cup - not a sandwich) fruit, cottage cheese, nuts and a little something sweet, with my vitamin cocktail to wash it down. A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

also take a look for Mark Bittman of the NYT, he has a list of 101 salads (they are really tasty), you can find it online.
I pack my husband our dinner leftovers.
lately my fiances fond of those bagged salads.. i buy the cesar kit and then the box of precooked chicken strips.. since you have lap band u probably wont eat the whole bag i know i dont.. mix it up in a tupperware and put the dressing on the side so it doesnt get soggy
I am also trying to save money and have been brown baggin' in for a while now. As I sit and type this, I am enjoying a whole grain pita spread with a tablespoon of Publix brand kalamata olive hummus, a Moring Star spicy black bean burger patty, a handful of arugula, some radishes, and a few slices of purple onion. It is a tasty and filling combination. Low on carbs, high in protein and fiber. I eat a handful of carrot sticks and a piece of fruit as well. It keeps me going until I get home. I also love a huge bowl of salad with mixed greens, toasted slivered almonds, blue or feta cheese, sliced strawberries, and a balsamic or red wine vinegarette.
I have a word document that has 20 differnt wrap recipes. If you, or anyone else wants it, message me your email address and I'll send it. You can use whole wheat tortillas OR pita bread. Good luck.
Typically, my husband & I take leftovers from dinner.
I also like to pack:
-soup (homemade or Progresso),
-cheese & crackers & fruit,
-tuna-mayo-diced apple on a roll, croissant or crackers,
-egg salad on a roll, croissant or crackers
whole grain pita bread with hummus, spinach, cucumber and feta inside.
Quinoa salad (like a brown rice salad)
black bean soup or curry lentil soup (Make a pot and it'll last a few lunches)
I get tired of the same things over and over too :)
