Low-cal Substitution for Mayo in Ranch Dressing

So my husband and I are addicted to "homemade" Hidden Valley Ranch Buttermilk Ranch Dressing (using full calorie mayo). I've tried making it with light mayo, and we think it is disgusting. Do you know of a low-cal substitution I can use for the mayo part? The buttermilk is low-fat already. OR, do you have a super-yummy low-cal recipe for ranch dressing? TIA!!!!

What can I do next?

My hubby and I have been using Smartbalance Mayo. He LOVES it, which is a HUGE thing because he never really liked mayo before.

Other than that, I'm not sure.

Have you tried the mayo made with olive oil? I think it tastes very similar to the real thing. Kraft makes it, as well as other brands, I think.

We make our ranch with low-fat or fat-free sour cream.

Light mayo is the worst. I refuse to eat it.

I would try maybe using half of the delicious full calorie mayo, and the other half low fat plain yogurt.

so, if it calls for 2 cups of mayo, I would try:

1 cup fatty delicious mayo
1 cup fat free plain yogurt
