Hey Alex!
This is called Telogen Effluvium. It is abnormal shedding after a metabolic stressor (childbirth!) Usuallly it is about four months after the stressor, you are just a bit delayed. There are three stages of hair growth the anogen - or active phase, the catogen or resting phase - and telogen or shedding phase. After a major metabolic event, childbirth, illness, surgery or crash dieting, the phase shifts to the telogen phase (most of the time the three are balanced) This is a self limited process, and your hair will return! I see this in my practice ALL of the time and my patients are very distressed! You can support the hair by adding 2.5mg of bioten. I rec Apperex - you can ask your pharmacist to order it for you. Good luck, and dont worry!
